It works, but has one shortcoming for Mac OS X that knocks it down to 3 stars
Pros: Backs up iPhone, iPad, media just like it says to CD or DVD. Automatically spans discs if it sees you have more photos/videos and what one disc can hold. Mac OS X recognizes it as an external drive.
Cons: It makes multisession DVDs which aren't fully compatible with Mac OS X; only the first session can be read by Mac OS X, subsequent sessions are not readable. I suspect this has something to do with the UDF build the PlexEasy uses.

Multisession DVDs not compatible with Macs
Pros: Easy to use. Automatically does disc spanning if you have more photos/videos than what one disc can hold. Onboard tools to erase CD-RW and format media. Comes with power supply if your USB slot doesn't have enough power.
Cons: Makes multi session DVDs where only the first session is readable in Mac OS X. Subsequent sessions can't be read. Can read multi session DVDs in Windows 7. Flimsy plastic case.
