Pros: Bought these because they were cheaper than the numero uno brand I usually get. Tired of paying 30 bucks+ for blank media. So far they are working very well. Burned half the pack without incident. I've had nothing but problems with memorex in the past. Mostly with DL DVDRs. Never a problem with single layer, but enough to cause me to stop buying this brand altogether. These seem to hold data well, burn at acceptable speeds, and are supposed to have the same hard coat that other top to the line brands do. We'll see if they retain their data like the others do in time I guess.

Cons: None so far. Like I said, I'll have to wait a couple months and see if they retain the data I burned on to them.

Other Thoughts: I use BD discs for data backup mostly. As I don't normally watch a whole lot of blurays. I mainly just digitize any movie or tv episode I might want to watch. I got tired of using my 400 disc binder, which weighed a ton, to hold tons of DL DVDRs full of data. So I decided to cut the amount of discs down to 1/4 the size and switch to BD discs. So far so good with my Asus BD-RW. As long as you burn only at 4x and keep the data below 23.1GBs, these things work just like they should. You may even want to burn at 2.5x just for a little added security. They will go higher, but I don't see the need to go higher than 4x. I'm in no hurry. Will probably buy another hockey puck when these are gone if all goes well.
