In the modern home and the modern office, we frequently find that we need more gadgets than we did only ten years ago. Scanner, printer, copier...and they all take up space. There never seems to be enough space, does there?

Enter the multi-function printer. Using inkjet technology, it prints in black and white and color, it photocopies in black and white and color. And naturally, the scanner works in black and white and color as well. And all of these features are packed into a device about the size of a less versatile printer. It can be used as a wired or wireless network printer as well; share your printer, even when your computer is off.

  • newegg Great Performance The Canon PIXMA MP620 features a breakthrough 26 ppm black and 17 ppm color print speed for efficient printing.
  • newegg Spectacular Print Quality With a stunning print resolution of up to 9600 x 2400 dpi, the Canon PIXMA MP620 produces crisp, clean and lifelike images and documents in exceptional detail.

  • newegg Direct Photo Print The Canon PIXMA MP620 features built-in memory card slots and a PictBridge compatible USB port so you can print photos directly from compatible memory cards, USB flash drives, digital cameras and mobile phones without the need for a PC.

Pros: Low initial cost. Replacement (generic) ink readily and inexpensively available.

Cons: Poor wireless range. No 64-bit drivers available.

Other Thoughts: I tried installing the drivers and software from the included CD to my Win7 (x64) machine and got an incompatability warning. I went to Canon's website for an updated driver, all they have are drivers for 32 bit OS's. I'm truly sorry I bought this thing, it's been a huge disappointment.

1 out of 5 eggsgood while it lasted

Pros: It used to work great.....

Cons: I've owned this mp620 printer for several months for college and after several months of owning it, it broke down on me.

The lcd screen doesn't come up anymore, but it can still print. all other functions have ceased to exist, but now all it can do is print. Get another printer if you can, because if you need to scan documents like me, then it will be a huge disappointment when you have a problem like mines

Other Thoughts: by the way, i bought mines on newegg.

3 out of 5 eggsBe Aware

Pros: Well, I have used and own this product at home and works pretty well.

Cons: Recertified!! There are no scratches but it came with no Black Ink! Came with two Yellow instead. Can't use the printer until I install a black ink!

Other Thoughts: I would have given Five stars if it came with correct ink. Too bad it's considered as recertified so they don't replace missing or wrong inks.

2 out of 5 eggsInk hog

Pros: Prints quickly, fairly quietly

Cons: Printer ink is always a racket, but this one takes it to a preposterous level. The color cartridges are only good for a few pages. Black ink lasts somewhat longer, but it pulls the trick of telling you that you're out long before you actually are. You can override it if you're willing to ignore its threats of potential damage to the printer.

4 out of 5 eggsHappy customer

Pros: Easy to install/configure even for the wifi connection. You can do anything with wifi: printing, scanning, etc.
Good quality even for photos. the print is pretty fast.

GREAT PRICE

Cons: not very economic. I already changed all of the inks and I do not print a lot with it.

3 out of 5 eggsok

Pros: Looks nice, wifi, functions well for the most part.

Cons: Goes through ink fast! Limited quantity of ink. I never even used the color cartriges and they're almost out just from the cleaning operation on startups! Get page smears often, esp if using anything thicker than regular 20# paper, like envelopes. Very long warm up time.

Other Thoughts: miss not having a fax on it

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Photo print quality is great. Looks like photo lab prints.
black printing is fast.
Styling is great. Nice size compact size but still holds enough paper for my home office use.
Software works well. Many different custom install option. Software is NOT a huge install like HP.

Cons: Both paper trays seem a little cheap / flimsy.
During the initial install via router you will need to connect directly to printer (usb) -> Not a big deal and probably not really a con.

Other Thoughts: Like the little red lights that light up when the ink cartridges are installed.
Bought my about two weeks ago. Did not notice if it was a recertified when purchasing. However, the box and printer appeared to be factory sealed. I mentioned that because after finding the product again (to write this review) on newegg, noticed they do not have any new ones.
