Pros: The best photo settings are to choose Photo and set it up for glossy paper, leave the quality on standard! Thats right, STANDARD makes the best photos, not High... Weird.
Cons: The main roller bar that holds the paper down as it prints actually pokes throough the fresh ink and makes roller dots right through your nice glossy fresh, wet photo ink. It is most noticiable in dark or black areas when the white paper shows through the small pokes of what the roller does to the wet ink. This is a very bad flaw to an otherwise great product.
This flaw is not noticable when printing text documents or when printing on regular paper. Only Glossy paper keeps the ink wet long enough for the rollers to drive through it and ruin the photo. Very frustrating...
Other Thoughts: I wonder if Canon has a fix for this. I will send a customer service request to their site and see if I get an answer.
