Pros: Prints fast!!! This is my first laser printer, I wanted one for a long time and finally decided to spring for one. Got this one on sale for $99 with a replacement cartridge. I have had it for about 6 months now and I print 2 to 12 pages a day is all but I am still using the original one.

Cons: The printer worked fine with a 3' USB cable but the scanner would not work with a longer cable hooked to it. Took me a while to figure what was wrong, it turned out I had to use a repeater cable to get it to work. No where in the instructions or the website did they mention this. I searched around online and finally found others that had the same problem and solved it with the repeater cable.

Pros: Simple setup, works flawlessly, toner life seems good, multifunction (although I do not use it for FAXing).

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Had two different HP printers before this one. The PhotoSmart had horrible ink life, wouldn't print envelopes and eventually quit after about two years. The second was internet capable, but never worked at all and I returned it. The Canon has had no problems so far.

Pros: This is an all around quality product sufficient for home use, home office use, or even small business use. It is a well running multi faceted device and runs perfect. Additionally, this model has aftermarket (Non OEM) toner available and therefore this can be a highly economical unit. Rather than pay $70+ for a toner you can buy one for $26 that works just as well. In fact, when I ran my own little tests to compare OEM to aftermarket I though the aftermarket looked better. Thus, what you have here is a well working laser printer, copier, scanner and fax which runs for next to nothing. I am so impressed by this Canon that I am preparing to order the color version. In my home office I utilize this laser printer along with Canon and Epson inkjet all-in-ones - and this laser is my go to printer. I am picky and print in excess of 20 pages daily so I demand a quality product. This unit hits on all cylinders. I would recommend to anyone and everyone. I have read some reviews stating that this printer is a heavier model. This is true but realistically, once set up, how often do you move your printer? I cannot find a single flaw with the unit. It is impeccable. I will never own another brand.

Cons: There are no cons with the unit insomuch as the unit does all it supposed to do. However, if I had to buy this again I would buy a model or two up that comes with wireless network capability like my inkjet which allows printing from any network device including tablets and phones. This is plugged into one of my desktop PC's and is working just fine. I knew this unit was not a wifi unit so please understand that I am not complaining. i am simply pointing out that I would prefer the wireless optio. This does all it is supposed to do and perfectly in fact.

Pros: quick first page

Cons: very noisy

Other Thoughts: It was a bother to dig up a USB-A cable; I think it should have come inthe box.

Pros: Simple, easy to use, somewhat fast, and quiet

Cons: Somewhat big, it is larger than most inkjet printer

Other Thoughts: It is a good printer/scanner for home use, especially a sub $100 price

-has a toner saving mode
-seems to be great quality

Pros: - Great price on Black Friday sale
- Longer-than-expected life for starter cartridge
- Scans are very detailed.

Cons: - Bigger than the space on my desk...must mean I need a bigger desk. ;) (Dimensions are accurate - I just didn't measure before ordering!)

Other Thoughts: My printer-use is light, but I have been pleased with this printer/scanner/copier. It does everything I need and then some!

Pros: My Samsung printer started printing poorly, even with a new toner pack. So I needed a quick alternative. Newegg sent an email with this printer on sale for about $69. So I just snapped it up. My first surprise is that it is larger than the photograph seems to indicate. Have to move some things around. However, it is not huge.
When I set it up 3 weeks later, the process was a snap with a quick setup guide. Downloaded the newest drivers from the Canon website versus using the included disk.
It prints very fast compared to my Samung printer. The quality of the print is excellent as well. It has the ability to handle single envelopes and holds a hefty amount of paper.

Cons: It doesn't have the faxing ability, which I thought it had because it said multi-function on the email advertising. Plus as I indicated it is not a very small printer. I'm pleased with it.

Pros: Price vs performance and features (lots of great features for the cost)
Footprint is fairly small for an MFP
Cheap toner refills online through newegg or other retailers
Works great with Windows 7 64bit
Scans to PDF

Cons: Wished that this model had OCR text recognition in the device / software, but overall I'm very happy with the purchase

Doesn't include a USB cable (WT*!)

Other Thoughts: overall solid purchase. Very happy.

Pros: I design kitchen cabinets and print out about fifty sheets a day. I needed a printer that could keep up with my volume without killing my budget. This unit is doing great. It has a nice little energy saver feature that puts it to sleep between jobs.

Cons: None so far.
