1 out of 5 eggsNasty Surprise in store-DO NOT BUY

Pros: It prints great, and the functions work great..easy to set up... but it has one major drawback

Cons: The unit functions fine until you run out of ink or the print head goes out -the ink containers are very small and don't last long. That would have been ok but... they designed the machine so it shuts down every function on the 'all-in-one' can use the scanner at all unless your print head and ink is fine. We need the scanner as much if not more than the print functions, we made it through 2 maybe 3 ink refills then the print head belly ups and shuts the whole thing down.

1 out of 5 eggsNo customer Support

Pros: Printing quality and features were good while they workered

Cons: The printer began having problems printing on disks shortly after the first year. I contacted customer support. The agent didn’t have technical knowledge beyond trouble shooting measures and was unwilling to refer the problem to a technician. I just wanted to get a suggestion on what might be causing the problem. Her only suggestion was to buy a new Canon printer or ship this one to a Conan authorized repair shop at my expense. I guess to Canon support and sales are the same department.

Other Thoughts: The HP it replaced lasted 5 yrs before a firmware update rendered it useless without the purchase of a $40 software package. I was hoping Canon would be better. I was wrong. I got 1yr and no real customer support. Next time I’ll try an Epson.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid All-in-one

Pros: I needed a new scanner and this all-in-one was on sale at the time. It's performed great so far. It's mainly a scanner and the occasional photo print. I've never had trouble with it so far.

Cons: I wish I could figure out how to turn off all of the LED lights. They are the brightest blue LEDs on any of my equipment. I have this on a desk in my bedroom and had to cover the lights with electrical tape so I could sleep. Not worth knocking off an egg but just an observation.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Photo Printing

Pros: Cheap, wifi, easy to setup and use.

Cons: Horable photo printing!!! I use only the highest quality settings on my "cannon" camera and using "HP Premium Plus Photo Paper Glossy". Photos are grainy with distinct horizontal lines in some parts of the picture. The quality is so low I wouldent even use it in a presentation or charts.
This printer is absolutly worthless.

Other Thoughts: Printing photos is not my primary use for this printer but its suposed to be a photo printer. Its not!
If you ever want to print a picture (or anything color) AVOID this printer at all costs!

4 out of 5 eggsMG5320

Pros: For home use this is a very good printer. Having separate ink tanks is a must for me. I had an older Epson that had one black tank and one color tank. You would run out of one of the four colors and the whole tank had to be replaced, even if the remaining three were full of ink. All-in-one color tanks aren't cheap, either. Overall good buy for the price and print quality. I'm happy with this purchase.

Cons: Is somewhat slow to begin printing(older Canon I had before this did the same. Got faster over time), and once it starts, it prints fast. Scans and copies just as well as it prints with great quality.

Other Thoughts: I read other reviews that complain of this being an ink hog. I have to wonder just how much are they printing? This is not a business printer, by any means, it is a all-in-one home photo printer. Business printers are designed with larger ink tanks that cost a lot more than this Cannon(and the ink tanks, too), but are made to go much farther and produce far more documents than this MG5320 was designed to. I bought this printer locally as my kid took my old Canon off to college and I needed a new one right away, and a week later I find the same one at the 'EGG for $49 less. My loss.

2 out of 5 eggsink hog

Pros: prints on disk with disk tray

Cons: this thing uses more ink than any printer I have owed, the first time you print every day it takes so long to start printing I have walked up stair at my home and filled my coffie cup came back down stairs and it still has not started printing - leaving it on all the time like some have said really has not helped save ink. It seems that canon has made there printers a sub line to there ink sales.

Other Thoughts: called canon tec service and they said to set printer to gray print only will help save ink but that is not a big help because it clean the heads
so often that it sucks up color ink and the price of there ink is way expensive I will keep it to print on disks and use my old kodak for my main printing.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: I bout this printer to print my daughter's wedding invitations and they came out so beautiful. Also have been printing many photo's and are great as well. Really good buy for about $100. Already paid for itself considering what I would have had to pay out for printing.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsInk sucking behavior makes for a poor overall value

Pros: Nice print quality, sets up easily, wireless works without a hitch.

Cons: Sucks ink. Without even printing that much. Very costly behavior and no way to adjust. Thanks Canon but despite the print quality I'll go another way next time. And next time is soon, as I refuse to buy another set of ink.

Other Thoughts: This is a trojan horse into the ink well. Proceed with caution.

5 out of 5 eggsToo Good To Be True

Pros: For $100 ($50 off normal price), this printer has features that rival less major brand rivals costing far more, and I figured there had to be a weak point somewhere.

After using it a lot for a couple weeks, I can tell you it does everything well, right down to printing CDs. It's fast, makes great prints, copies, and scans, and looks cool, especially the color led flip-up screen that allows you to do most of these things independent of your PC.

For the price this thing is a steal, so much so that I'm buying another one for my wife.

Cons: Shiny black finish shows dust

Other Thoughts: Probably a decent deal at $150, a steal at $100
