3 out of 5 eggsGreat all-in-one, limited linux support

Pros: I've had this printer almost a year now, and have had no problems with the hardware.

Cons: Using in a mostly Ubuntu 12.04 environment, and the Linux drivers are semi-broken and out-of-date. There are many features available in Windows that are not available in Linux. There is no scanning support available for Linux. Printing fails intermittently, and on some systems doesn't work at all. :-(

Other Thoughts: Great price, great hardware, lacking solid linux support even for basic features.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Easy set up. Seems well made. Loaded with features.

Cons: Discontinued

Other Thoughts: This is my 3rd laser printer in 5 years. The other two brands did not last constant jams. I think this one may last longer

5 out of 5 eggsGreat multi printer with wifi

Pros: 2 sided printing, feeder for copy and scan (no more 1 sheet at a time for me!), wifi that seems to work good

Cons: The paper tray is a little "awkward" its not like a tray you pull out and fill then re-insert like others. You have to insert the paper into the tray and so trying to do a full pack does not work well, but not a biggie,

Other Thoughts: For the money this has been a really nice small office machine and it looks cool too

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: It works.

Cons: When connected wirelessly, I was having problems getting the driver to find it. So many moving parts it is difficult to say where the problem is, but since it is the only wireless device in my network to have problems, I dinged it a start.

Other Thoughts: The scanning interface on the unit's console is clunky, as another reviewer said. But since there are only two options, simple trial and error saves the day.

1 out of 5 eggsFine for letters, unusable for cards.

Pros: Fast.

Cons: Won't do cardstock at all. Says it will but tech support's reply to the toner messing up any card fed through it was that 'inkjets are better for cards anyway.'

Scan interface is clunky.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value

Pros: I set this up by wired Ethernet for a customer. It works great in all modes including faxing and is nicely configurable though both a browser interface and the panel. It was a bargain at the $192.58 sale price I paid. Too bad it's apparently being discontinued.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsFAST

Pros: Very fast
Duplex
Network
USB

Cons: Remote scanning issues
Duplex copy issues
Scan quality

Other Thoughts: This thing is really great. For the price, I doubt you could beat it. It continually amazes me with its speed. It is really fast! It has built-in duplex, RJ45 and WiFi, and USB.
Unfortunately, the scanner is not the greatest quality, and you have to select from the printer menu in order to scan remotely from the PC (it should be all on the remote end).
In addition, you can't automatically copy in duplex. You have to switch the page over. It would be nice if you could put it in the feeder, and simply have it copy both sides of a document to a double-sided copy.
However, for the price and sheer speed and capability of this unit, I give it five eggs. Great for small business or a home office.

1 out of 5 eggsdefective module(s). bad quality

Pros: None.

Cons: Doesn't work on my MacBook Pro mid.2009 system constantly crashes. Very disappointed. Mushkin was once famous for its high quality products, I guess , not this time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat all in one

Pros: It has all the features you need for a small home office at a great price

Cons: I am using it wirelessly and so far (unless I can figure out how to make it default) I need to set the scanner to "remote scanner" each time I need to scan docs. Not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: So far its a great office machine, I had the MF3111 before this for years until the scanner died. Really glad I got one with a docuement feeder. The machine looks good too, not that its all that important.
