Pros: Robust, reliable dot-matrix printer. Excellent for multipart formats. Durable ink ribbon and printhead. Excellent value for the price.

Cons: As with all of the dot-matrix printers, it's a little noisy, not that much to die, but it can become a little annoying.

Pros: NewEgg is awesome as always and RMA with them was flawless.

Cons: item did not function. buttons on front were DOA. Epson troubleshooting over phone was adequate and quickly determined printer was d.o.a., BUT refused all warranty service unless printer was physically drive by myself and hand delivered to their service center in Omaha (3 hours away!). No other warranty service is provided by Epson on their dot matrix printers. Spoke with multiple supervisors and same ordeal. Printer would have to be hand delivered to Omaha. No mail in, no on-site, no replacement, no nothing. 1 day old printer. HORRIBLE COMPANY. first Epson AND LAST Epson printer I ever buy.

Other Thoughts: What type of company doesn't offer warranty service on a 1 day old product? what company in the right mind expects their customer to make a 6 hour round trip just to drop off a $350 printer and then make a 6 hour round trip to pick it up? Epson is an absolute joke.

Pros: Good directions for unpacking and assembling the printer. Prints well once you get it set up.

Cons: Software does not support labels even though it is marketed as a label printer. The manual printer drawings do not match actual printer. If you follow the manual directions, the labels will not feed. Manual has numerous warnings on what you shouldn't do or you could ruin the printer--not exactly user-friendly.

Other Thoughts: After several frustrating hours of trying to get this printer to work, I think it is okay now. My "techie"son, through trial and error, finally made it work. I am a librarian and needed a dot matrix to replace my old Okidata for printing labels. Here are some things we learned: the pull tractor feed the manual tells you to use does not work on the labels. Use the rear push tractor. Remove the paper tension unit and the paper guide. We did not uninstall the Okidata software. We installed the Epson on the Okidata port and clicked on the Okidata printer for printing the labels, not the Epson. This is the only way we could get it to print labels. We did use the setting two for paper thickness as the manual states.

Pros: We utilize this printer for our sheet metal ticketing process. I purchased this to replace another dot matrix printer and I have no regrets. Never experienced jams or hardware issues. Setup was fairly straight forward.

Cons: None that I can think of

Pros: Just bought and installed one of these for my family Concrete Production Company as a replacement and WOW! I was really surprised. It prints about 4 invoices a minute. Also seems to be a well built machine because the environment that this thing is in is HARSH!

Cons: Can be hard to maintain
