5 out of 5 eggsGreat Prints

Pros: High Quality, Fast, Multi-Cartridge Ink System, Affordable Paper

Cons: Large in Size - fits on one side of a desk, little slow, but to be expected.

Other Thoughts: Definately stick to Epson paper on this - but for quick prints from a flash card, or USB Stick, works like a champ!

2 out of 5 eggsmix with sugar for lemonade

Pros: prints okay on paper, still prefer my HP

Cons: CD printer broken out of box

Other Thoughts: Since I bought this solely for printing on DVDs it was a complete bust. The tray wouldn't stay aligned and the printer kicked it out when readying for print despite ALL the tips on the net. Avoid!

2 out of 5 eggsEPSON could do better at explaining important aspects of this printer

Pros: Has extra USB ports and card reader.

Cons: Does not let you print at all (even in black and white) if any one of the ink cartriges is out. Glops the ink onto CDs/DVDs and eventually smears. And is very slow at producing the Cds/DVDs.

Other Thoughts: Need a printer to label a fairly large quantity of CDs for church functions. This was not a good choice. I'm gonna try the Casio CW-100. All we need is text anyway and the Primera seems to be reviewed as having a lot of glitches. HOWEVER; NEWEGG'S CUSTOMER SERVICE ROCKS AND MADE EVERYTHING BETTER!

2 out of 5 eggseh...

Pros: Nice display. Storage media ports are pretty handy. Image quality isn't bad for a printer in this price range. CD/DVD tray would be nice if the printer would actually print. Support was pretty good 'cause they agreed to take it back.

Cons: After ~2 months it decided it wasn't going to print anymore and started throwing errors at me like there was no tomorrow. Checked all sensors, paper path, rollers etc. with no success.

Other Thoughts: Should have listened to the review below about frequent use and mechanical stability not being the strong points of this unit. I have a Stylus Photo R800 at work and love it...should have gotten another one of those. Service seemed nice enough to deal with(only because they offered to exchange it). I'll see how the new one works when it gets here and write another review.

2 out of 5 eggsNot reliable for more than average use

Pros: CD/DVD Printing, Built in Card reader if you need it, easy set up, some color profiles available for even this lower end printer.

Cons: Not reliable for more than average personal volume printing, not mechanically reliable, average customer service. not meant for all types/brands of photo paper, and did I mention that it is not good for heavier printing.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a printer that you are going to print out 7-10 photos a week and a dozen or so pages a week, this is the printer for you. If you are going to print out a dozen or so photos (4x6) and a dozen or so pages a day, look for a better printer. Print wheels go rather quick on all three epson sent me. And the last one had a nozzle malfuntion. Epson has replaced this unit three times. The recomended I look for another printer to handle the work load of 7-12 4x6 pictures a day and about a dozen pages of text a day. My 7 year old HP 970c has no problem keeping up with the 20 pages duplex I print on it every day... and ink is cheaper. Spend the money and get an hp or and r800

5 out of 5 eggsThis printer pwns!

Pros: This printer power owns. Its a dvd disc and cover printing factory. Easy setup instructions. Nice Manual.

Cons: If you have WINXP64 you will need to download the drivers from epson's website because they are not on the software CD included with the printer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat printer

Pros: Great printer! I upgraded to this from the R200 which was also a good printer, but I wanted something a bit more high tech. The color screen on this won't blow you away but it's a nice added addition. The multiple card slots are also great for PC free printing if your the sort. I really like the CD/DVD priting of the Epson's. I enjoy customizing picture CD's and music CD's and this is SOOO MUCH Sweeter than using the lame stick on labels. And as far as I can tell, Epson is one of the new printer companies out there doing this, not to mention doing it VERY well.

Print quality is excellent, and even INCREDIBLE with Epson paper. Usually I don't buy the "Use our paper and it'll look better" type approach, but I caught a sale on 5x7" Epson Glossy paper and WOW. These prints look as good if not better than professionally printed pictures. Truly amazing. If this thing will last me a few years it will have easily been the best printer I've ever owned.

Cons: Haven't noticed any CON's yet. The original Ink tanks are still nearly 99% full even after several high quality prints. My old R200 used to need cleaning QUITE often and time will tell if the R340 is less needy. I'll report back on what I find out.

Other Thoughts: There are quite a few good printers out there, but if your looking for CD/DVD priting capability with great photo printing, this is easily your best option.
