1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy!

Pros: A lot of functionality, wifi is nice

Cons: Just like the past reviewers said this thing eats ink so quickly and cartridges are expensive. After a little over a year, the printer broke on me. Tech support told me that I could get it repaired for an estimate up to $5200. I started to laugh, because I couldn't believe that is what they offered. NEVER buying EPSON again!

1 out of 5 eggsThis thing sucks

Pros: uhhhh....?

Cons: Never wants to print when I need it to, also the ink just plain disappears. I put ink in it, rarely use it and when I need it, there's no ink. I called tech support about this, they said that turning it off and on uses ink even if you don't print. It's a scam. Cheap printer then they make all their money out the backside by overchargin for ink. They sent me some ink and declared the value as $1.76 on the customs form, yet it sells for $17.00 in the store. Go to hell Epson.

Other Thoughts: A class A con, and I can't believe they got me. I'm usually not so gullible. Oh well. I hope they sleep well at night.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: My first wireless printer. Great features, i can connect my camara's memory card straight to it. The picture qualities are good too.

Cons: Goes through Ink fast. The Inks are very expensive. The printer broke on me 9 months after i purchased it. The printouts became very spotty in some areas and I could not fix it.

Other Thoughts: Next time I buy a printer, the first thing I will look at is the type of ink (price & quantity) it uses. Then functionality & price of printer.

5 out of 5 eggsStill 5 stars

Pros: As the title says, I still give this printer 5 stars. I've scanned and printed numerous photos and documents and made numerous copies. Ink use has been about what you would expect given the type (color photos) and quantity of documents that have been generated. The black cartridge has been changed twice and the color cartridges once (color will be changing again soon). Thus far, this printer has been a reliable and consistent performer. I have no complaints about the performance of this printer.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I've recommended this printer to friends and family, and would not hesitate to do so again.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy this one.

Pros: This was my first Epson printer. I've always used HP in the past. I thought Epson might be good because the colors of ink are separate. I liked it at first. The first few pages printed nicely, and there were no weird problems printing from Windows or Linux (Ubuntu).

Cons: The one I got started bleeding ink on the paper edge. I had purchased this at [store], and also got their $20 Black Tie service plan. Silly mistake... To get it fixed I'd have to let them send it out for one month, and this is my only printer, so I didn't.

I tried fixing the bleeding problem with all the maintenance operations. None of those helped. I tried a fresh black ink cartridge (the bleeding ink is black) and that didn't help.

I haven't even ran a full ream of paper through this printer and it's on its second black ink cartridge - and is making bad prints. I'm looking for a new printer now, not an Epson. Even though they're cheap, I'd advice getting a different brand, because with the amount of ink they use (or in my case waste) you can buy a nicer printer. And, if it's making bad prints like mine, it really doesn't matter: however much you paid is a waste.

Other Thoughts: I only paid $80 for this thing at [store]. I paid for the $20 Black Tie service too, as I've said. Lesson learned there... Before buying their Black Tie service, make sure the item is "eligible for replacement" or is something they can at least take a look at in the store.

For sure don't get this printer. They don't even sell it anymore at [store].

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: The price i got it for was amazing for the printer. Prints fast and scans over wireless. Can't ask for anything more in a printer.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy it

Pros: Connects easily, wifi is pretty easy to set up

Cons: The amount that you will spend in ink is ridiculous. I suspect that it intentionally expends ink even when not directed to do so, in a cheap effort to get you to buy more ink. For instance, when you run out of cyan or magenta, you cannot print. At all. No black and white. Nothing.

Other Thoughts: The printer market is saturated with low end printers, don't get this one.

1 out of 5 eggsExtremely disappointing, do not buy this printer or any other Epson products

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: Completely unreliable
Terrible Epson customer service (Rude representatives)
Defective product

Other Thoughts: First NX515 I purchased had to be sent back immediately after un-boxing due to mechanical failure of the scanning mechanism. Upon receipt of new printer directly from Epson, we noticed increased issues with printer nozzle alignment (huge blank gaps in printing) every time ink was replaced (which is quite often, we don't print much, it is just very inefficient). This periodically got worse over the course of the year, which required us running printer head cleaner and nozzle adjustment maintenance more frequently to get a salvageable print product (10-15x a pop for nozzle maintenance, which could take 2-3 hours to complete). It finally got to the point where it was uncorrectable, so we called Epson to try and fix the issue. Epson stated it was clearly another hardware issue, but due to it being more than 90 days old, there was nothing they could do except to offer us a new Epson printer to buy. After this experience, buying a new Epson printer will not be happening.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth it!!!

Pros: Well when it did work it wasn't too bad of printer.

Cons: I had mine for about year and honestly not worth it at all for the price. Maybe if i was like $20 then maybe it wouldn't be so bad. First off, its cheap. Crummy plastic, just simply cheesy. Ink cartridges do not last long and can not be refilled. Oh and even if your out of color you can still print black and white right? Wrong! Has 3 color cartridges and if your out of one of them it wont let you do anything. Sure ok ill replace it until I slap in a new cartridge then sais im still out of ink. So being essays were due the next day didnt have time to F with it so went out and bought an hp for 70 bucks. Love it, never buy an epson again.
