1 out of 5 eggsHas lots of problems with the ink cartriges

Pros: Wifi

Cons: Several times it wouldn't recognize the ink cartridges and now it won't print any of the colors. The warranty just expired, so I am out of luck. I also had problems sending faxes.

1 out of 5 eggsDisposable at Non-Disposable Price

Pros: Quick Printing
Good Quality Pictures

Cons: Poor Scan Quality
Unreliable
Rollers stick and jam easily
Not a good value
Ink prices are very high ~$100
power down for paper jams

Other Thoughts: I bought this printer about 8 months ago and have been using it about twice a week. I am not, by any means, a high volume user. A couple of weeks ago, the paper starting jamming with every attempted use. Cleaned it out completely, spend $100 on ink and loaded it up ready for it to work again. No dice! It is a piece of junk and now a paperweight. I am very upset because I spent so much on ink and also because it hasn't even been a year and now I have to buy ANOTHER printer. Don't waste your money. Go for something that just prints OR a multi-use with a higher ticket price.

4 out of 5 eggsEpson

Pros: Good ALL in one printer. Have used this model before

Cons: DOESN'T COME WITH USB CORD OR ETHERNET CABLE!!!!! The only way you can hook it up straight out of box is through wireless router. Otherwise you will be doing like me and ordering USB cable. I am in Afghanistan. This is a very huge inconvenience!!!!

3 out of 5 eggsInk Eater

Pros: Easy setup and is simple to use. Works great across my home network of Winodws 7 Vista and XP Pc's. NOW THE CONS!

Cons: Ink ink ink! Should be more like Oink Oink! Yea same as everyone else. I have had this printer for hmm 3 months an am on my second batch of ink. When I first installed it within the first week of printing 15 web pages or so I got a low black warning. I checked and colors were still full and black was down. Called Epson Tech and they said sometimes that happens. Ha at the cost of ink you are joking I hope. Well that was a waste. Funny thing is I bought this to replace another Epson NX 400. It was 49.99 shipped and cheaper than buying ink for the NX400 The Workforce does print fast but sloppy so I slowed it down to print cleaner images. As for Photo its not really worth wasting ink on em. Scanner and scan feeder are good. Todays costs this isnt worth the money unless you like spending 50.00 every few months on ink. I went with refurb inks. Dont care about warranty.. Actually they last longer. Printed out a 40 page manual n shows full blk still.

Other Thoughts: Feeder in the rear gets old. Need a bottom loader. Paper tends to fall forward if you have a ceiling fan on

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid This

Pros: Fast; easy set up

Cons: This printer sucks up ink faster than a Hummer goes through gas. I had Epson replace it under warranty, put in store-bought cartridges and 2 weeks later (very low volume) out of Majenta--- I rarely print in color. As others have noted,, can't just do B&W when other colors are too low. I have the print quality set to no color and fast / draft mode. Great deal from New Egg at $99. Now $60 into ink and only had a few months. Cheaper to throw it away and start anew. Had an Epson printer a couple of years back. Similar issues. I'm staying away from Epson for good.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Satisfied

Pros: Not many - just works ok

Cons: Failed after about a month of service - would not recognize the Cyan ink cartridge. Spent a bunch of money on ink as Epson suggested, and it still would not recognize the cyan ink cartridge. Now trying to get it fixed/replaced.

Also, scanning to my computer from the 610 worked the first day, and never since.

Other Thoughts: Purchased because of the extremely high ratings for this printer here on Newegg. Maybe I just got a lemon. Definitely not satisfied.

3 out of 5 eggsAnother Print that won't work without COLOR!

Pros: - WiFi
- Fast
- Looks good

Cons: - Another stupid printer that won't work without it's colored buddies!

Other Thoughts: - I was in Best Buy today and decided to get rid of my Brothers MFC printer since it refused to print when I ran out of cyan or some other non-sense color I used 2yrs ago. I asked the BB seller and he said his Epson didn't do that and pointed me in the direction of one. I went to checkout and saw the 610's for $10 more and thought if the $80 Epson wouldn't stop why would the $100 Epson? Same company...right? After reading reviews I appear to be wrong but I emailed Epson to see any way (waiting for response). If so I'm going to be upset cause in this day and age I should be able to print B&W without having cyan there to haunt me.

- First things first, YOU CAN USE THE SCANNER OVER THE NETWORK. After I installed the drivers I had to restart my computer for a connected PC to come up but it does work. Other than that I'm just glad I don't have to use my PC as a print server now. I guess my last choice is if I really want to deal with the whole ink issue.

3 out of 5 eggsWorkforce 610

Pros: Does not jam and the all in one function is pretty neat. The wireless function works great as well. General print quality is good also.

Cons: Uses too much ink so not good office use. Ink is a bit pricey and also when one runs out it does not let you print at all. All cartridges have to be full all the time. A big inconvenience

Other Thoughts: My overall rating based on small business needs. This is however a great printer for home use.

4 out of 5 eggsA Better Printer

Pros: Ease of install and use, small footprint, good intuitive keypad and indicator panel easy to figure out without the manual, low ink usage and retention as compared some with other printers I've used particularly Lexmark, although some dislike the paper feed I prefer it, unless you're using this in an office environment a paper cassette isn't necessary and just takes up more space, good print resolution and fast

Cons: The paper exit tray extends and collapses and is made of plastic making it open to breakage.

Other Thoughts: I've used HP, Lexmark and Canon printers and have come to the conclusion that this Epson is one of the better of them all.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: It's easy to set up. The manual is not the quickest to get but overall setup is easy. The machine is thicker than id like but fits perfectly under my metal shelf. The b/w ppm is super fast compared to my HP 5850 which now I know was snail pace and the print quality is so much better too. Basically, I must have gotten this sucker right before it sold out at $100.00. I am so happy I ordered it. It is great quality for the price. Is it top of the line - NOPE - is it great performance for the price? - absolutely. Very pleased I got this. If you want to get as close to top of the line inkjet without paying for it....this is it. Caveat - this is not for people who want sharp/pro quality photos. below average on that aspect. But I didnt buy it to print photos.

Cons: Paper feed is a stand up which annoys me and its placement in the back is not convenient. There are some safeguards I find annoying when it comes to turning off the printer and other areas when using the lcd screen to manuever controls. Photo quality below average-average.
