LaserJet 3600n
- Pros: Prints VERY fast. Colors look great. Easy to network. Printer gets it's own IP addy on your network. Really cool.
- Cons: Toner is EXPENSIVE. Printing 2 sided 3-fold pamphlets (90% coverage), you'll get about 300 out of your color cartidges. That's when the printer will say your empty. See below for more.
- Other Thoughts: Set the printer to "Override on out" I've printed hundreds of pages since the printer told me I was out of toner, with no sign of running out yet.
Also, don't expect to frame a picture that you print on this printer. But, you already knew that...
Can't handle cardstock
- Pros: This printer is fast. It looks nice, has friendly menu, and easy setup. The toner cartridges are full, not half full like others. It comes with networking built-in.
- Cons: It doesn't handle cardstock correctly. The printouts were crooked. It's noisy. The manual feed tray is poor designed.

Happy Printer
- Pros: Prints good looking color output that won't smear.
Prints fast from idle state.
Very easy to setup print drivers on additional PCs - my kids are printing directly from their PCs instead of taking over mine.
- Cons: Huge footprint! I read that the printer was large, but still wasn't ready for the massive size. I had to move the filing cabinet a couple inches away from the wall to get it to fit on top.
Very loud calibration that seems to take place each time I print (only after the printing is done and it might be because I don't print very often, maybe once a day).
- Other Thoughts: Initial setup was much longer process than I expected - start at least an hour or more before your first print job.
NO PCL/PS, Poor Performance
- Pros: LOW Cost, larger cartridges than 2600 (more toner per), fine print quality on low-end documents.
- Cons: Host-based printer. This should not bear the HP name -- does not support any protocols (PCL/PS) and even is not intended for workgroups or important documents (reference: adobe PDF)
- Other Thoughts: Don't buy this printer. You will run into problems, I give you my word on that.
Great Printer for the price
- Pros: Nice print Quality! Setup the Network printing in Seconds. The B/W Toner is rated for 6,000 pages and the Color Toner's are rated for 4,000 pages. That's Amazing!
- Cons: This Puppy is a little Heavy!!! Little Noisy, when printing.
- Other Thoughts: @ $300.00 it's a little steep in price, for a regular home desktop printer. But it's well worth it.
