Hewlett-Packard created the LaserJet P2015 with remarkable skill. The first true test of any printer is speed -- it has a top print speed of 27 pages per minute. With a wait time of less than 8.5 seconds to get ready for the first page, agonizing waits for print jobs are a thing of the past. None of that would mean anything if the quality was lacking, but HP has the answer there, too, with 1200 x 1200 dpi.
Maintenance is the Achilles heel to most printers, but Hewlett-Packard made the P2015 to last the ages. A maximum duty cycle of 15,000 pages per month ensures you'll "get 'er done." The 250 sheet internal tray, and 50 sheet multipurpose tray will keep the chore of filling the P2015 minimal, and the 125 sheet output tray will allow for more time at the computer and less time picking collecting printings.
Take pride in your printer and your work! Pick this up and experience HP's expertise for yourself.

P2015DN
- Pros: Almost bought the P2015 but needed the Network connection and chose the P2015DN. It is extremely fast and duplex printing works flawlessly while saving paper.
Image quality is excellent on the first print as long as the paper setting is set to thicker paper. See con below. It have given me over 2000 printed pages on 49% of a regular toner cartridge without the toner saver features turned on. No mechanical problems or jams in over 2K prints and more than 1200 of those are duplex prints.
- Cons: I originally printed with the normal settings but the first page had powered toner smears. I read on the HP UK site that if that happens set the printer fuser to a hotter setting. Which simply means to change the paper type to a thicker paper setting. This cleared up the only minor glitch I had with this printer.
- Other Thoughts: The last two HP laser printers I have owned lasted over 10 years each. It is difficult to find such well supported and durable products as HP printers. I Would not have purchased this printer if my LaserJet 2P had not finally died after about 16 years of service.
Great printer
- Pros: Fast output, 1200 dpi, great for PDF printing.
- Cons: Don't use the install CD for the software driver. Get the driver from the website, use the HP LaserJet P2015 PCL6 Plug and Play Print Driver Package or the HP LaserJet P2015 PCL6 Print Driver Package. There is alot of bloatware on the install CD.

Excellent Printer
- Pros: This printer is fast... it has an instant on technology which allows it to print instantly without any warm-up...(Some Technical INFO) I run a computer business and i bought this printer for an accountants office because it handles MICR toner very well. The Iron Oxide in the ink which makes it "magnetic" needs to be about 30% and the toner which HP produces already is so this is a great launching ground for a MICR Printer. i have heard people not even using the MICR toner and just using the HP cartridge but this is up to you.
- Cons: The paper tray is small only half a ream of paper which is 250 sheets. They could have sacrificed a little more size for a full ream. Toner Cost compared to other brands... BUT THAT IS HP!!!
- Other Thoughts: Quiet for a Laser, Small Footprint, not as small as some other printers, but you sacrifice print quality for space saving. Speaking of Print Quality It is Great! This printer is a cost per sheet bargain when it is on sale!!! I hope that color laser printers will be 1200x1200 and cost this much in the very near future!
- Pros: It was the replacement to the HP Laserjet 1320 which is a great printer. I had two of these and thought it would be a good too.
- Cons: This printer started printing horrible quality and left a dark gray film over the entire page. Eventually it stopped printing after about 4 months.
Pay attention to the others - Heed the warning
- Pros: None. Note: I owned the CB367A, but since it has exhibited the exact same problem as the ones below, and since the treatment by HP has been identical -- poor, I felt it important to add my voice to the benefit of the unsuspecting consumer. With a company as large as HP, with the economy in the state it is in, choose to spend your money with a company that will provide you with a product and service support that you deserve.
- Cons: This printer started dropping off the USB connection, then showing indiscriminate error lights, until the dreaded "paper jam" light showed up. If I had returned the printer when these problems first surfaced, I was within the 30 day exchange, but I initially thought it was a USB problem in my computer, or a virus. By the time I zeroed it down to the printer, I was outside the 30 day exchange period, subjecting me to the expenses others have written about. Upon advice of HP's support site, I replaced the printer engine: cost $100. Still the error light. Two live sessions, and two weeks later, I have been advised I have a "hardware issue." I have been given the same choices as outlined by others, below: spend more of my time and money.
- Other Thoughts: I have had the use of this printer for approximately 3 weeks since its purchase in October. At rougly $300 intial purchase price, and the additional $100 for the cartridge, that's $125 a week for a printer that I am no longer able to use. My suggestion? Find another company.
