Pretty Bad
- Pros: none. never got it to print once.
- Cons: bought it so my roommates could print from it wirelessly. After "successfully" installing, it couldn't even print when plugged in via USB. I tried connecting it to our wireless network, but it couldn't. I tried printing a test page, then got a Cartridge Stall error every time.
- Other Thoughts: I plan on returning this.
Not very good
- Pros: Fairly easy to set up wireless connection with router.
- Cons: It lost the wireless connection several times, I had to reinstall the wireless connection several times. Finally I got tired of having to redo the wireless connection and I use a cable all the time now.
Biggest complaint is the printer won't let you refill the carts, when they get low enough, the printer completely quits working, even if you refill the carts. It forces you to install new carts, that cost way too much. I used up the black and color carts in less than a month of average printing, at a cost of $42 for a combo pack of two carts, way too much for me. The carts cost almost as much as the printer did. I'm going back to my old HP printer where I can refill the carts and not spend a fortune on ink.
- Other Thoughts: Do not buy if you plan on refilling the carts yourself.
Commercially refilled carts may work, I have not tried any yet.
Bought it for Wireless Printing - Now I'm Using a Wire
- Pros: It prints in black & white. It prints in color. Initial installation is easy. It was fairly cheap, given its WiFi abilities... It works if you have a router.
- Cons: I cannot, for the life of me, get this thing to sucessfully connect to my laptop in Ad Hoc mode. The point was to be able to use it in my vehicle while I was on the road calling on clients. The only thing it was ever supposed to connect to was my laptop. But no, that would be too easy. I don't know if it's a Vista issue (with networking, most everything is) or if it's a Lexmark issue (what I suspect), but I'm either going to just use the usb cable, or return it any buy a cheaper wired printer. Arrrgh!!!
- Other Thoughts: Has anyone had success getting this printer to connect wirelessly to a computer in Ad Hoc mode?
