Rating: 3/5interface sucks, slow cpu, otherwise fine
Pros: Its... pretty easy to use. Good quality prints.
Cons: i've setup 3 of these now. and each one I can't seem to get them to do wifi unless i use the CD. Which is very annoying to me. Most printers its very easy to do from the printer. Inks expensive.
Let me provide you some tips though on how to stretch your ink investment and maximize the ink cartridge of your Lexmark printer.
Only use High Yield cartridges Most printers will accept two or more different cartridge models. A "standard yield" cartridge has a low sales price, but contains less ink. Your best value is a "high yield" cartridge. These have a higher sticker price, but contain almost 3 times as much ink as their standard yield cousins. Lexmark designates our high yield cartridges with the suffix "XL". Look for 150XL cartridges in multipacks for even greater savings. Please click on the link for the compatible cartridges for your printer: http://bit.ly/lcgWB1
Try New Print Settings For everyday printing you may find that "Quick Print" or "Draft" mode gives good-enough print quality and greatly reduces your ink consumption. In Windows click the preferences button in any print dialog. On Mac you look in the Print Settings pane of the expanded print dialog. If you don't mind small print, you can also try "n-up" printing that will squeeze two or more pages onto a single sheet of paper.
To configure your printer to connect to your wireless network, please follow the steps below. Please make sure the computer is connected to your wireless router and you have your network name and password information ready.
1 Click Start. 2 Click All Programs or Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list. 3 Select your printer, and then navigate to: Printer Home > Settings > Wireless setup utility 4 Follow the instructions on the computer screen.
