3 out of 5 eggsPrinting Skewed...had to RMA

Comments: Purchased this printer because it is so reasonably priced. However, the first one's out put was skewed...that is, if a straight line were printed, it would be higher on the left side of the page than the right..almost an eighth of an inch. It was quite noticeable with a full sheet of text (not the way you'd want to send a resume, for instance!)

After a month at the Samsung 3rd party warranty service shop where the poor guys there replaced everything that could be replaced (per Samsung's hit 'n miss directions), Samsung finally agreed to provide a reference number for an RMA.

10 plus bucks to ship it back to Newegg, and the replacement unit showed up yesterday.

Thankfully, it appears to be working flawlessly so far. I guess I just got a lemon the first time.

4 out of 5 eggsThere is a catch

Comments: Great little printer especially for the price. No quibble there. But the "starter" toner is only 1/3 full. If you buy this, buy another toner. If you walk into a store, the toner costs more than the printer.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Printer for Home Office

Comments: This is gr8! I replaced my old Canon BJC4200 Printer with SamSung MK1740. And I really appreciate the print quality compared to InkJets. What a professional look. I printed my invoce and MIR and also the envelops using this printer and its so nice. I will never ever go back to wimpy InkJets.

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional Printer

Comments: I bought this for my dad. I have the next step up. I thought it might be a lot slower than mine (ML-1450) but it's not. The first page is out at about the same speed. Great printer for the price. Newegg shipping is amazingly fast.

5 out of 5 eggsnice printer

Comments: I got this with a rebate that made it pretty much half price. It's fast, and functional. Works great for envelopes and labels too, using the front loading slot. Replacement toner cartriges aren't too expensive, ether.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome little printer

Comments: I bought this little printer several months ago for college use. I'm still using the original toner and the quality is great. All I print out is college papers. Maybe if you want some graphic then you should go for something else. Otherwise it's a Great Printer.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: It works out of the box...though my APC UPS seems to blink alot so it may be drawing too much juice from one wall socket with the PC and monitor and well...that is a different story.

Printer works flawlessly out of the box. The only thing was , by default the parallel port is chosen and to use the USB you have to specify this in the driver panel...

Yay! Cheap Laser printing!
