Samsung makes monochrome laser printing easy with the ML-2510 printer. You’ll appreciate the 4-click installation, with no need to reboot; you’ll be up and printing in minutes! Your small office/home office print jobs will run efficiently at 24 ppm, and thanks to the 1,200 x 600 dpi print resolution, your documents will be sharp and professional-looking, and the last copy will be as brilliant as the first!
Oh, and you can forget about getting banged-up knuckles and black fingers while trying to clear paper jams! Samsung’s jam-free roller system ensures that your paper will never bunch up in some dark corner of the printer again! The trim footprint of the ML-2510 makes it a great choice for offices where space is tight: it’ll fit easily on a corner of your desk, on top of the filing cabinet, or on top of your credenza. Give your small office a big boost in print quality at a tiny price!

nice for the price
- Pros: Relatively small, square. Cord output well-managed. Paper tray folds up completely. Paper feed seems very good. Pretty fast startup. Fast print time for long documents. Worked well with windows 2000 pro. Dead quiet on standby. Seems overall very well-behaved.
- Cons: Have tried for an hour and cannot get FC6 to print to it. Tried latest samsung unified linux driver, still no luck. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Yuck. Stinks since I use FC6 now. Not particularly small; the lexmark e210 it replaced was smaller & lighter.
- Other Thoughts: Got this for about sixty percent of what it is here from a national retailer, after rebate. The price here is way too much for this printer. Late model HPs start up just as quickly as this one, but do not churn out pages as quickly as this printer (in this price range). Overall a good deal. I got it for about ade-dey bucks after rebate. Replacement toners can also be had cheaply if you spend 5min searching, but not on auction sites, as you'll most likely get ripped off. Uses same toner as ML-2010, btw...
A new printer every time!
- Pros: Fast warmup and print. Cheap, but fairly sturdy and reliable with no paper jams so far (500 sheets so far). A quality windows printer driver without a load of extra software (I'm lookin' at you, HP).
- Cons: Fast warmup means it draws loads of power. Replacement toner costs almost as much as the printer itself, but the replacement assembly includes a new drum as well as toner cartridge, so there's no hidden cost of a new drum.
- Other Thoughts: It might make noise when printing, but it quickly powers down into silent power-save. I have to agree that it makes a great printer for college students: I'm a college student and I love it. It has survived several hard moves.

Great printer for the price
- Pros: Picked it up when it was $50. Can't beat that for a laser printer. Prints black and white quick and perfect. Cartridge is VERU easy to refill for $10. Don't really have any major complaints.
- Cons: The error LED flashes/stays solid at times even though nothing's wrong with the printer. Sometimes I have to turn the printer off and back on for it to print the jobs that have queued up. The fuser gets really hot and makes the top of the printer rather warm as well. The original toner it comes with gave about 500 pages before it ran out.
- Other Thoughts: New toner is almost as expensive as what I paid for the printer but luckily samsung makes it VERY easy to refill the toner cartridges. A refill kit runs $10 and takes all of 5 minutes to use. From what I read you can refill the cartridge 3-4 times before replacing it.
No bells. No whistles. Just a printer.
- Pros: Toner cartidges don't dry out. Cartidges seem to last forever (I'm still on my first one after 3 semesters). Doesn't take up much space. Comes with a toner cartridge already. Prints fast (with a bit of a delay on the uptake, but none between pages, even with large pdf files).
- Cons: The paper tray is a bit flimsy. If you have to move it a lot, be careful. The price hasn't gone down in the two years since I purchased mine (at a major retailer). Replacement cartidges are pretty expensive (at least they last a long time ~3000 pages). No duplexer. Occasionally double feeds (this is particularly frustrating when manually duplexing to save paper!). A bit loud, in a whiny kind of way.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this printer to replace a color inkjet. I hated my ink always drying out between semesters, and didn't really need the color anyway. This is a fine, discount printer. Now I'm looking for an inexpensive color laser printer for family and school projects. I will seriously consider purchasing another Samsung.
Samsung ML-2510
- Pros: Works well, and prints well, that's why I got one.
Laser printers always last longer than the ink jets. I'm hoping that this one will last as long as my previous HP printer. Was on sale, and got free shipping.
- Cons: Unknowns, I suppose. Never had one, but trusting the Samsung name.
