rook 2/15/2013 1:46:30 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5Awesome Pros: Good print quality, quick to print from standby, wireless printing works great, scanning wireless no issues Cons: This sounds silly but the lack of a back lit display makes the screen really hard to see. This is a major annoyance when you have to scroll to the computer you want to send scans to. I would normally take a few eggs off, but the machine is such a great unit I just can't. Other Thoughts: Huge HP fan until recent years - their equipment is pretty decent but bloated software is horrible. After issues with two printers - one that spits out tons of errors when a cartridge is empty and won't turn off as a result I decided to try out Samsung. This is the second Samsung unit I've purchased and its just as great as the other unit. Simple, functional, quality. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? Sensor to detect documents in ADF started malfunctioning after two weeks (or barely 5 page scans total). I reported the issue online and no response for a while. Then I got a call from someone with tips to follow to supposedly fix it. Same tips are available on their Support page so I had obviously followed them before reporting the issue but the guy kept insisting I follow those tips. About 23 days after reporting the issue, it still hasn't gotten anywhere and I am stuck. Save yourself the trouble and buy a better brand, you'll be glad you did. Manufacturer Response: UserOfPrinter: I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with the ADF. As there are not enough details for me to diagnose your problem and offer a solution, I recommend that you call Samsung Customer Service at 1-800-SAMSUNG so that a representative can walk you through a possible solution. ~ Samsung Printer_Monitor_PC Did you find this review helpful? A great multifunction unit that is simple enough for a computer & electronics novice to work with. Cons: This unit doesn't have a phone option so if the phone/fax line attached to the machine is also used as an actual phone line, you'll want to get a filter so you don't have the fax machine grunts in the background of your calls. desmvp 11/23/2012 1:27:33 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5works with linux Pros: i just go done installing the Unified Driver (Driver) (ver.4.00.31:07) and it worked great was an easy install and didn’t take long at all. My android phone works with it too. it is really nice to print from the shop and walk upstairs and have the document just waiting for me no sitting at the desktop to find the same site then print. i can see buying this printer over the brother printer was a great choice. the printer is nicely constructed and will hold up for years as compared the the others seemed flimsy (hp dell brother canon) the only other that i was looking at not listed was Epson and that’s only cause i didn’t find a laser printer from them. hp brother Epson all work with Linux but this was the easiest install yet. Cons: Few things Samsung needs to work on is this printer would be nice if it duplex from copier, a back light for the display, and if they would make an rpm for there installer nether a big deal beaker but would be more helpful for the end-user. thanks again for a great product Samsung. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Well worth the modest cost and it's worthiness. Does everything it claims and more. Cons: Only one thing....screen could be brighter or be lit. Can get annoying when copying booklets. Other Thoughts: Purchased 4 months ago for small office (printer is used by 3 doctors and me, the manager & tech support). Love it for the most part, until I have to copy booklets. Set up was easy, it is currently networked with several Mac's (one boss's preference), a Vista PC, and a Win7 PC. One doctor loves it so much he purchased the same printer for home when his died. Overall, good printer, just wish the flatbed scanning was faster. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Text is very clear. Cons: I bought this all in one printer so that I can make double sided copies. When I looked up the features it stated Duplex printing. This is true, but it's not a Duplex copier which my wife needed for her work. Knowing what I know now, I would have been better off buying the cheaper model. Other Thoughts: When I called Samsung customer service, the rep told me that I should be able to make double sided copies. He did state that he's just taken the info off the website.
