5 out of 5 eggsWorks as Advertised

Pros: It works just like it should.

Cons: Requires the ability to read.

Other Thoughts: All the 1 star reviews appear to be due to a lack of reading the installation instructions. You need to reset the drum counter on your printer after you install this item. The drum unit comes with installation instructions, so does the printer.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Product

Pros: Good price in comparison to local stores. The printer is awesome NEW.

Cons: Is a unreliable product! Bought it in February 2012 and since the beginning kept on getting messages to change drum. I changed the toner once and its suppose to last through four. Unreliable all the way, don't know if its a manufactors issue either way is not worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsbetter than immitation

Pros: Best value for your money, since most non-OEM drum/toner don't last nearly as long as OEM products for printers

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsBad Quality

Pros: It was fast delivery.

Cons: It keeps failing. I bought this item in Feb 2011 as a spare part for one of my customers. I put it in the machine in Sept 2011. It keeps giving an error and it prints a very poor quality prints. I changed the toner twice thinking that it's the toner problem, but nothing changed.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a drum for your printer.

Pros: It's a printer drum, so as long as it works properly there's really no other performance metric you can apply. It works, so that's that.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsObviously not Toner

Pros: Does exactly what a drum unit does

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you don't read the title of what you are buying you probably shouldn't bother reviewing the product.

1 out of 5 eggswrong category

Pros: I'm sure this product functions as its supposed to. At least, the one that came _with_ my printer does.

Cons: Shame on you newegg! you have this unit listed under "Supplies - Ink Cartridges / Toners2_." when this _clearly_ is NOT toner ( nor ink for that matter ). Fix that!!!

Other Thoughts: Granted, its probably my fault for not reading the reviews, although to be honest, i didn't much care what the reviews had to say since its the manufacturers product and it fits the printer I purchased. It sucks that the product has to bear the bad news of the 1 egg when it should really be newegg that only gets the 1 egg. On a slightly better note, i noticed it wasn't the right part before I opened the black bag that the drum came in ( thank you instructions! ) so they were happy to RMA it. Unfortunately, I'm getting hit twice for shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsArithmatic Clarification

Pros: Cost per page: $65.00 / 12,000 pages = $0.0054/page, drum only. You don't have to replace the drum every time you replace the toner.

Cons: Bum rap. You have to read the instructions.

Other Thoughts: Sorry, my review would have been more helpful had it read like this. The TN-360 High yield TONER has a manufacturer spec of 2,600 pages. This DRUM unit with a spec of 12,000 pages should last through (12,000 / 2,600 = 4.6) or about 4 1/2 TONER cartridges. So $46 X 4.6 TONER packs = $212. $212 for 4.6 TONERS + $65 for the DRUM = $277 spent over the life of the DRUM. $277 / 12,000 pages = $0.023 per page. Different print jobs use toner/ink at different rates, prices change, so everything here is approximate. BTW, I have nothing to do with Brother, and I hate math, and I don't own this printer, I'm just trying to figure out what will cost less to run than my current inkjet.

1 out of 5 eggsJust buy a new printer

Pros: Love the printer. Great for black and white text printing. I've tried other printers and this one seems to be the most efficient and cost effective.

Cons: Do not waste your money on this. Just buy a new printer and get the drum and a starter cartridge. You can get them for between 50-90 dollars depending on the deal offered. I don't even know why they bother selling this item.
