Pros: Good Print quality, economical to operate. Easy Network setup.
Cons: .I bought it on 01/11/10, and had an issue on 01/14/10. I have a “Bubble” in the Blue Drum that leaves a mark every 3 inches on my papers. This mark showed up from the first printing. I figured it would go away after it was “Broke In”. It continued after about 10 pages, so I checked the system out. I called Brother, and they seemed to know and understand the problem I have. Here is my problem, I have to return the Drum assembly for examination, and I think I have to pay for the shipping to Brother. I understand the return, to a point, but what do I print with while I wait for the results from Brother? Other companies, like HP, allow you to purchase a replacement part from them, return the defective part, and when they decide that the part was actually defective, they credit you the cost back. They even ship the replacement part in a returnable package with a prepaid shipping sticker. What is Brother doing to take care of the customer? Telling me to deal with an inconvenience?
Other Thoughts: Brother products work great, and are very economical to operate, but… You buy Brother Products in an “as is” condition, and hope nothing goes wrong; or do not buy them at all.

Product life reset

Pros: Cheap, my work was going to buy a $600 dollar printer. I asked them to let me find a better, cheaper one. I have never regreted having them get this one.
Cons: It told me to change the toner when it wasn't out yet. But thanks to a review on newegg I was able to reset the product life of the toner by opening the case and hitting cancel and reprint at the same time. It saved me a lot of headache.
Other Thoughts: My company does not keep spare toner around, so that little product life reset was a life saver.
