4 out of 5 eggsIt's A Label Maker

Pros: It does what it's supposed to: make labels.
It performs well at making labels.

Cons: Tape/label cartridges are expensive.
Limited use because some tape is too narrow for some applications.
Could use more fonts.

Other Thoughts: It is a label maker and it makes labels well. I'm satisfied (I got it on sale--I would've looked elsewhere if it wasn't)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Easy to use, qwerty keyboard layout and inexpensive on sale. Print cartridges are not overly expensive.

Cons: NONE yet ;)

Other Thoughts: Great labeler for the money, hard to beat. For my modest needs it has worked fine.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk

Pros: Cheap

Cons: ...and it shows. Didn't work from day one. I tried several batteries, never powered on. I just finally threw it out the other day. Bought for 11.99 or something on sale. Don't even bother.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for TEACHERS!!!

Pros: Christmas gift to my sister who is an 8th grade English teacher. She uses it to label EVERYTHING!!! She even labels her pencils with it as she has to use her own $$$ to but 90% of her supplies for her classroom. I bought 2 more just for my classroom I'm going to have this Fall. It only uses the "paper" it needs to print your label unlike my "brother PT-2030AD Desktop" which has 1.5" on either side of the label BLANK which has to be cut off as waste. The labels are of great quality. Don't worry about the no-AC plug-in. If you use NiMH high mAh rechargeable batteries (which are cheaper than alkaline now/use), you can get several hours of printing on a single set of charged batts (last much longer than would ever in a digital camera!!). I have recommended this even at full cost to several teachers and people who are scrapbookers. I would recommend this product to ANYONE who wishes to print labels from a less expensive label maker which are as good as the high end Brother labelers.

Cons: Bit expensive if not on sale. Replacement tape for labels costs more than the machine itself when on sale. Will not print out HUGE labels if needed for labeling boxes, etc. Does not create PowerPoints to teach from if needed. Does not write out lesson plans.

Other Thoughts: This is a GREAT product for ANY teacher!!! When on sale, all teachers should buy to help with labeling of things in and around classroom.
