Pros: This toner is the original but you still can fool the printer into taking a toner that is not original or a toner that is not actually empty but still has several hundred more pages of toner in it.

Cons: The printer likes to call for toner too early before it is actually empty

Other Thoughts: As some of the previous reviews have already talked about, the printer has a built in toner change meter. In order to fool the printer into taking an old toner cartridge before it is actually empty and needs to be changed, you must first select the Menu button of the printer. Then select General. Then select Replace Toner. Then choose the down arrow and change the selection from "Stop" to "Continue". Then press the OK button. Then change the toner or actually just pull the toner out, shake it and put it back in again. Then press the OK button to continue. Your printer should accept the "old" toner as new and allow you to continue to use it. You may also have to press the green "Start" button on the printer 7 times to get around the message to replace the toner as stated by a previous reviewer.

Other Thoughts: Don't use after market. Some of the aftermarket work until you use duplex then nothing. No problems like that with the oem.

Other Thoughts: Picked this up for use with a new Brother HL-2270DW. Works as you'd expect.

Pros: I installed this Toner Cart' back in 6-2012 and is just now saying LOW.

I am not sure on the number of pages but almost a year of steady use is good

Pros: Works a lot better than the off brand "compatible" ones.

Cons: Price is rather high.

It upsets me that the "compatible" ones didn't work well with my printer & i'm stuck paying top dollar for these.

Other Thoughts: I first tried buying the cheap "compatible" cartridges that aren't made by brother and they left lines, marks and had really bad print quality.

Pros: This is an official Brother toner cartridge. It works great in my Brother HL-2230 B&W laser printer.

Cons: None.

Pros: Received quickly.

Cons: I used 2 of these cartridges in 1 and a half weeks with average printing. I have been using Brother toner cartridges for over 8 years and have never had any empty this quickly. For the type of printing I do, a catridge with this capacity typically lasts 1 and a half months.

Other Thoughts: I hope this was a fluke for this batch of cartridges. In the past, Brother high capacity cartridges really meant a large number of pages could be printed before a cartridge change was needed. Maybe not the 2600 pages that it is rated at, but definety more than 300.

Pros: I don't have a "low toner" message on my computer any more when I turn on the printer.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Not sure what else to say. Toner was low, and it isn't now.

Pros: Worked fine.

Cons: None, except price.
