1 out of 5 eggsPIECE OF JUNK

Pros: Wifi - Cheap Ink - all in one

Cons: Runs out of ink fast, scan too email and other functions do not work well and have intermittent bugs. The Printer itself is not very well made, it's plastic and light and seems like it's cheaply made. The printer works fine if all you want to do is print, but other stuff thing thing is terrible.

Other Thoughts: Buy a LaserJet and quite wasting your time on this junk.

1 out of 5 eggsAfter 10 months of ownership, died suddenly

Pros: Cheap all in one printer, scanner etc

Cons: After only 10 months of LIGHT usage this piece of junk died out on me unexpectedly.

Not only that this printer claims to print photos, I used official brother ink and name brand gloss paper for printing photos and they printed horribly. Had heard great things from this brand, won't be buying Brother ever again.

Other Thoughts: I had heard great things from this brand, unfortunately the product not only did not live up to the hype but failed after less than a year of ownership and light use.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat Happened?

Pros: Nice small foot print and wireless feature is a big plus. Colors were vibrant and ink is found everywhere really cheap.

Cons: Bought this in October of 2012 and lasted until July 2013. Hardly ever used since I also have a Brother laser printer that I use full time for work and school. The black ink cartridge (original and third party) stopped being recognized by printer. Tried every trick in the book I could find to fix, but no luck. Called Brother support and they agreed to send me a refurbished model, but not after dealing with nasty customer service rep. I put up with the rudeness on account I wanted the issue resolved as fast as possible.

Other Thoughts: I've used Brother printers for well over 10 years and never had an issue. This was a first.

4 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: Small. Wireless functions. inexpensive. Can print from an iOS device wirelessly. Ink is cheaper for branded and off-branded cartridges.

Cons: Ink runs out fast. Wireless functionality is iffy.

Other Thoughts: Only bought it because wife insisted we need a color printer. I was perfectly happy with my monochrome Brother Laser printer, which prints so much faster and the b/w print quality is so much crisper. I trust Brother printers because of the quality and cost of the ink. in the end I would recommend this for a casual printer who needs color prints. Otherwise get a Brother Laser printer.

1 out of 5 eggsJUNK JUNK

Pros: NONE

Cons: what a piece of junk. I have tried every possible way to connect this junk wifi printer to my network. It NEVER sees SSID...no matter what. I have 9 other devices on my network and all connect and work perfectly.

How companies put junk like this on the market is beyond me.

STAY AWAY.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks flawlessly

Pros: Setup is super easy. You will need a USB cord for the initial setup however the wireless setup is easy (once you figure it out) so just take the USB cord from something else. Scans look great. It's quiet and has one of the easiest ink installs I've ever seen.

Cons: You have to do some work if you're using Windows 8. There is no official wireless Windows 8 software (as of 11/5/12) however if you download the Windows 7 wireless software it works.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat printer

Pros: Great look, compacte ennought, cheap, good quality, silent enough, fast to print

Cons: Settings my Wifi password was a little hard with this small B&W non-tactile screen.
I'm not a big fan of the CD-installation. On my computer I didn't wanted to install the full suite but only the printing drivers. I feel the Suite is not so great and kind of heavy.

Other Thoughts: Very good deal especially that you can find generic cartridges online for nothing

5 out of 5 eggsnice little printer.

Pros: better than any hp ive ever had
it does a ink head cleaning cycle every morning. its alarming every time it goes off. im like "whats that noise" and begin turning my head like a meerkat until i figure out what it is. it prints real nice and i love the ink cartridges over hp and Epsons

Cons: getting the wifi networking took a few attempts. wps would not work. the setup is not as intuitive as it should be. but i got it working. had to do it manually.

Other Thoughts: the paper tray could be annoying if you print a lot but if your like me and only print once every other month this is ideal. as the enclosed nature of it will prevent humidity from warping your paper.
