Other Thoughts: The included toner cartridge is NOT a full cartridge, only about 50%. No laser printer comes with a full toner. Replacement toner cartridges are expensive, as is the case with most laser printers.

Excellent little printer

Pros: - Smaller than my Canon inkjet printer! - Sharp text, but that's expected with laser printer. - Prints very fast! - Little to zero time to warm up. - Works with Vista without fuss. - Driver has nice options like water mark.
Cons: - A little noisy - Exposed paper tray - Expensive OEM ink! I will have to try generic.
Other Thoughts: I needed a small laser printer for several purposes. Being a professional student require printing a lot of stuff and they need to look good. I look high and low and decided on this little gem. My biggest gripe on the printer is the exposed paper tray. I hate dust on my paper! I will have to find a cloth to cover it. It's also a little noisy. From being completely cold to printing, it takes about 7-8 seconds. From being in standby (low power mode), there is virtually zero wait time. It prints a lot faster than I expected. The text quality is excellent. Graphics quality is decent. OEM ink from HP is like gold dust. $12 for a generic toner will do just fine. For a non-network laser printer, $100 is a tad expensive. However, for its size, speed and print quality, I think it'll be a great buy for students and home office.

Pros: Way cheaper than the local office supply store or other big retailer. Works fine for the office. Easy installation. Actually, it was too easy.
Cons: Do we really need a video installation guide on the CD? If people can't read, why would they need a printer. HP really dumbed it down. Whatever. Comes with a starter toner cartridge, not a full one. No network capabilities, but it was only $100, so can't complain.
Other Thoughts: Don't forget to order the USB cable and full toner cartridge with this printer.

Cons: Does not work in Windows 7. I purchased this because HP stopped supporting the HP 1000 and HP 1300 in Windows 7. To my surprise, this new model isn't supported either.

Good Printer But Beware

Pros: The printer works great but beware.
Cons: As of today HP has not put any Windows 7 drivers on there website. Hopefully they will be on there soon, HP is promising late Nov.
Other Thoughts: They had all these months to put out drivers, what are they waiting for?
