5 out of 5 eggsH470 a year on

Pros: A great little performer. It has held up to a considerable amount of traveling.
Very easy to set up and pack away at short notice.
More than satisfactory for printing text documents of both color and black n' white. Very easily plug and play.
I have seldom had an issue with paper jams.

Cons: Runs out of ink very quickly with replacement cartridges costly.

Other Thoughts: 2nd review of this little printer going on a year now;
This didn't have the HP 64 bit driver or 64 bit software when I first purchased it (WU supplied only), but I find I don't miss the software that came with the 32 bit version.
This is a very simple product that suits my needs at this time.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Response

Pros: None, never opened it.

Cons: New Egg is getting harder to return the merchadise and give me runing around for RMA requested. Its Rep Trinh is response with no RMA or hidden somewhere.

Other Thoughts: May be I'll drop out of become a fan of neweegg for its yoyo policy.

1 out of 5 eggsNever again

Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: Big piece of junk. I am a truck driver and needed a compact printer. I had printer for more than one month by first time I used it. It jamed on second page. NewEgg sent me to HP due to time owned. got it working for a while then it keeps jamming. I will never buy another HP product.

Other Thoughts: I received an email from HP in reference to class action suit. There are three different suits claiming HP is ripping off inkjet customers and that HP's "SureSupply" program and related marketing materials were deceptive and misleading. HP denies these claims…. OF COUSE.. There is a proposed settlement that includes an E-credit to be used to purchase their overpriced ink on there site.

1 out of 5 eggsUnreliable

Pros: Small, Light, Portable, Decent Quality Prints

Cons: Unreliable

Other Thoughts: Within warranty, we had to send in for paper jams and received a refurbish replacement that work for a while, and not out of warranty after purchasing and installing $45 worth of ink cartidges, the sensor keeps telling it there is no ink, most annyoing crazy thing, we are stuck with it and it doesn't work.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect for Trucks

Pros: Small Size Fits perfect in the work trucks.
Fast Printing
Options, battery pack, wireless....

Cons: Additional accessories are too pricey to justify purchasing. The mobile battery pack cost as much as the printer itself.

Other Thoughts: If you need something mobile for printing. this is the unit. newegg offers great price for it as well.

1 out of 5 eggsNice looking, poor quality

Pros: None, specifically.

Cons: Reliability of printer is questionable. I bought this printer for my son to take off to college. Within the first year with less than a 100 pages printed, the paperfeed malfunctioned. Unfortunately, by the time of failure, the warranty had expired.

3 out of 5 eggsNice printer, needs battery

Pros: Small, portable, decent print quality, adequate drivers and compatibility, adequate battery life.

Cons: This model doesn't ship with a battery and purchasing one will cost you over 1/4 the value of the printer.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend the H470b over the H470 because the H470b does come with a battery. If you intend to use it without wall power, this is a must.

4 out of 5 eggsnice printer

Pros: Excellent Print! does what "moblie" printer should Prints pages like a full sized printer. prints acceptable color prints/pictures and does it quickly. great for somone that need to take printing were they go! It uses standard and avalible HP ink special "print ribbons" to try and find! There is a nice touch on the bottom, a ink clean-out port! with new printers when the nozzle cleaning area fills with excess ink, the printer stops working, this clean out port is a big help! This little honey is great for writing reports on the go!However see Cons

Cons: This is the "base" model it does not come with the battery or battery charger nor does it have the wireless adapter.. you need to look at the 470wbt ($250) to make it totaly portable. Its a bit bulky and has some weight to it, however its certainly more "portable" that the regular "personal" printers. Mine has a very loud "snap" when it starts to print, not the normal "thud" of a print head going into place. hope this is not a sign of failure.

Other Thoughts: All in all, this is not a bad product and if it holds up it should be a good unit for printing items at my many meetings were a conventional printer is just not available

4 out of 5 eggsdecent portable printer for laptop and phone

Pros: Decent photo paper printout
Pictbridge support, can print pics directly from phones and cameras
USB port on the back and left side can be used as pictbridge jack
Portable, can be carried everywhere, optional battery.

Cons: Memory card slot is next to useless (no screen to select photos)
Ink boxes should be included in order to stow the ink when travelling

Other Thoughts: This printer can be used as stand-alone photo printer, but you still need your phone or camera connected through USB or bluetooth. Any bluetooth adapter will work, even some cheap ones (tested with 7 different bluetooth adapters, ALL work).
This is highly recommended to do alignment on the first use and every 6 month to ensure the best quality photo print, the photo printout from this printer is good, as least it's as good as other inkjet printers.
The ink has higher yield than other models.
