Pros: Great price for an all-in-1. Built in WiFi! Easy WiFi setup right on the printer control panel.
The HP all-in-1 this unit replaced (psc1200 series) is over 8 years old and still kicking. It was just time for an uprade, she was getting tired.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: CD software is a little buggy; use the software downloaded off their website its been fixed. If you dont want all the extras they have a driver only download.
WiFi was setup in 5 minutes, other people must be challenged. Its not the printer's fault if your wireless hub puts out weak signal, its just a receiver.

Lots of features for such a low price

Pros: -Wireless! -Decent quality -Decent speed -Fax works fine over Optimum Voice for me -Fax directly from scanner or document feeder
Cons: -Bloated software (only required to scan though) -You need to be tech savvy to set it up properly -I don't think it's accurately reporting ink levels
Other Thoughts: Got an open box for only $62...probably from one of the other reviewers here who couldn't figure out how to set up the wireless. I'd definitely pay twice that amount though. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing an MFC for their home office not willing to spend upwards of $300.

Pros: Fast printer and the wifi works great. You can hook it up through usb and it doesnt need to have a LAN plugged into it. just a wall outlet. the scanner and copier is a bonus, but i do not use the fax so i cant tell you anything about that. would definitely buy it again
Cons: wifi can be a little aggrevating to set up especially when you have to do it for everyone in your family at different times and you dont remember the procedure.

From bad to worse

Pros: Prints OK when directly connected to the PC
Cons: Documentation for setup was worse than useless (constantly refers the user to online references on websites that no longer exist), online chat with HP was worse than the documentation (technician takes forever to look up the answers to issues and then gives the user answers unrelated to the problems.) Wireless detects that I have a wireless network, but will not connect). Online HP tech says that the J4680 supports WPA & WPA2, but nowhere is WPA2 mentioned in any docs, the printer does ask for a passphrase for "WPA" but says "Invalid Passphrase" when I enter it, even though SSID and passphrase are correct, so no printing on a secure network. Documentation says it can be setup by using the network port on the printer, but there is no network port. Tried setting up through a D-Link print server, but the print server says that the printer is in constant "Error" status. This is my last HP Purchase.
Other Thoughts: I bought this printer to have a network printer. I have an HP PSC2175 but alas that printer is not networkable according to HP, and it is appearing that the J2680 isn't networkable either.

A shame to the name officejet

Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Modern looking. Does not cause cancer (to my knowledge).
Cons: Consumes ink like it needs to eat it for three square meals a day. I have bought several and had at least 1/3 of them just quit working altogether.
Wireless can be iffy.
Other Thoughts: A shame to the once invulnerable name, "Officejet".
