4 out of 5 eggsGood printing; software could be better

Pros: Good looking printouts
Reasonable speed
Touch-screen controls are straightforward

Cons: Direct-to-disk printing software is lame
No duplexing

Other Thoughts: I like this printer - bought it for casual photo printing and printing to disks. The supplied print-to-disk software is pretty lame; I use Roxio's instead, but still need to tweak the settings to line up better on the CD.

5 out of 5 eggsTotally Satisfied

Pros: Photo Print Quality
Current June '10 Price from New Egg
Multiple Ink tanks

Cons: None yet. Received printer Monday June 7, 2010

Other Thoughts: Moved to this photosmart printer from old HP Deskjet 5650 that wasnn't printing photos as sharply as it had, when new 4-5 years ago; even with HP Ink. This new D7560 equals, if not surpasses the excellent quality my former printer had when new. Professional print quality, razor sharp from Nikon digital images. Very very satisfied. Text, prints fine to, including print speed for both text and photos. I like that there are two black ink tanks (cartridges): one for photos (Photo Black) and another for text. Also nice that you can order high capacity cartridges (XL) and that you change only the one(s) that run low all colors do not run low at same time. Purchased from Newegg. The service was quick, straight forward, and no unpleasant surprises. Totally professional from start to finish, in all aspects of my purchase.

2 out of 5 eggsHP D7560 failed

Pros: Printer is a nice design, able to print a variety of papers including heavier materials heavy card stock paper used for business cards. Nice feature to be able to print on CDs/DVDs and printed excellent photos, (printed 4x6 only). Ran it USB direct connected to pc and second pc connected via bluetooth. (you must purchase a separate bluetooth adapter, HP device only, in order to use bluetooth). I also liked the ink cartridge design.

Cons: Printer ink cartridge (300 sheets) for small cartridges seem to go pretty quickly and the larger cartridges, 700 sheets, can get very expensive when the printer has four of them. There is quite a lot of internal printhead setup that occurs frequently and that causes wait time to see your finsihed document.
I purchased this printer about 15 months ago and the printer will not print. Getting error regarding "ink system unable to print". this is a solid error and i tried the HP physically cleaning print head routine, but that did not solve my issue. I'm ready to discard the printer because of this problem. HP appears to sell printers at low cost, as markup is in the cartridges...everyone knows this.
Two eggs becasue i believe this printer should have lasted much longer than 15 months.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this printer about 15 months ago and the printer will not print. Getting error regarding "ink system unable to print". this is a solid error and i tried the HP cleaning print head routine from their web site. printer in currently in failed mode and i'm ready to discard the printer because of this problem. HP appears to sell printer at low cost, as markup is in the cartridges...everyone knows this.
Two eggs...as i believe this printer should have lasted much longer than 15 months. I have been an HP fan for many years because of the high quailty software HP provided with their equipment, but perhaps it's time to look at other brands. Software is still quality but hardware, i'm disappoited. perhaps 15 months is a long time for printer hardware? you decide.

4 out of 5 eggsNice printer

Pros: cheap and good printing on printable Cd's and DVD's. Pretty good instructions on setup for a person with not much tech knowledge. Also does a good job on regular printing but I bought for CD and DVD printing.

Cons: CD.DVD printing program supplied is worse than nothing. You need to buy a program like Sure Thing Labeler which Newegg sells which I think is a great program for labeling which you should not have to buy. Software disc supplied by HP should have the drivers for Windows 7 on their disc. Using the waterproof taiyo yuden discs, roller marks show up on the discs if you hold the disc just right.

Other Thoughts: at 80 for a printer that also does printable discs is a bargain. I have used Sure Thing program for several years and it works pretty good for a relatively cheap program. And yes, it does work with the D7560.

1 out of 5 eggsAre you kidding me!!!

Pros: It Prints

Cons: It doesn't do what I want

Other Thoughts: I bought this printer for the sole purpose of printing DVD's. I have several printers and the label thing is terrible.

I read all of the reviews on Newegg and the verdict was it worked or it didn't. Well it prints to DVD's, but ...... You are limited to print in the 10 templates. No change in font sizes which is around 12 or 14, and no change in position. So basically my movie titles suck, I may as well printed it on a return address label and stuck it on the disk.
I tried Roxio Express Labeler which is suppose to work with the printer, well it prints on paper but not the disks. This is my warning to all, do not buy this printer for labeling disks. You will be dissapointed.

3 out of 5 eggsMixed Feelings

Pros: - Great CD printing quality.
- Great Photo printing quality.
- Printing on silver CDs looks FANTASTIC and legit.

Cons: - It's HP so it'll suck your hardly filled over priced ink up in no time!
- Took me 3 returns (through HP) to finally get a working one that wasn't jacked up in one way or another.

Other Thoughts: When printing you MUST to go to "advanced" on the print pop up and select CD printing! This is why 95% of you are having issues with it not knowing you're printing on a CD. You can't just select "CD tray" from the "where to print from". It also has to know it's printing on a CD!!

Alignment was a bit tricky and took a few CDs to get, but with mine, personally, I had to off set it -0.25 vertically them boom, perfect.

Also, Don't get those CD's wet! This is the case for any CD printer though, it'll run that ink right off! Finally make sure NOT to touch the CD for a bit or your finger print will go right on it. LET THE INK DRY! Even afterward, don't press hard on it because it will leave a mark.

5 out of 5 eggsFYI

Pros: excellent printer for everyday general and cd/dvd printing. have used this for more than one year and just purchased a continous ink system to use with it. printing is super with the use of the cis system for general and cd/dvd printing and ink is no longer a price factor for me. not much of a photo printer myself so can't speak for glossy prints with the cis system yet...however this printer has printed for me beautiful photos on glossy paper with the genuine hp cartridges both in black and white and color.
the paper tray is in the front and your paper lays flat so we never get paper jams or feeding problems as with those printers that feed from the back and the paper is in an upright position/this was also a factor in purchasing this unit.

Cons: it's true...it takes a few seconds from print command to actual printing ... we have learned to live with that very slight con and are happy with the final results. with my cd/dvd printer tray, after i send the print command i push the tray slightly with my hand and it feeds into the printer ...i'm not sure if i have slightly warped my tray we must have printed about 1000 cd/dvd with this unit thus far.

Other Thoughts: been use discpainter software to create a cd/dvd picture and save that as a jpeg image into a pictures folder and can print these pictures onto the cd/dvd with the photosmart essential software supplied with the printer. overall has been no hassle and never failed in printing. yes ink these days is expensive with color printers...may want to consider learning to refill your hp cartridges or getting one of the cis systems...be sure to use gloves when installing your cis system as the ink is a mess to install but so well worth it!
this printer is used daily in our home and quite a little workhorse.

1 out of 5 eggsMakes a nice paperweight

Pros: Looks nice. Stickers on unit boast many features.

Cons: Worked OK at first. You'll spend a lot of money on ink for this printer. One day got the "ink system failure" message. Many others with the same problem. HP unable to help w/ troubleshooting. Tried everything: cleaning printhead, resetting memory. This is the 2nd HP printer I've owned. First was a laserjet which became useless with Vista upgrade (HP stopped offering driver updates for my product).

Other Thoughts: Consider other brands. Just look at the reviews of some of the other printers. Avoid this particular printer although the price is appealing.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY THIS PRINT

Pros: When it prints, it prints beautiful work.

Cons: When this printer decides it is going to print, it goes through about 2030 seconds of gyrations that the display says "Preparing Printer". I expect a much faster response to a print request as I get on my other HP printers.

CD printing took 20 attempts before the printer decided I wanted to print on the CD and not on a piece of paper.

Garbage..

Other Thoughts: The only thing this is good for is a door stop or boat anchor. It is the worst piece of junk I have ever seen.

I trusted the name HP when I bought and now I am sorry. I will now have to spend more money to get a decent CD printer.
