Pros: This is a great printer. It is the top rated printer at Consumer Reports and their testing is extremely good. I have been using it for two months now and it has been great.
Cons: I have already spent more money on ink than I spent for the printer. That is fine. The cost per page is actually quite competitive.
A lot of reviews here have talked about how much this thing drinks ink. I have not found this to be the case. Let me explain.
After using this printer for only two weeks, it started warning me that it was low on ink. I bought a full set of extra large replacement cartridges at about $110.00. Since then I have been waiting for the ink to run out. It has not happened.
I appreciate that HP has made a fine printer, but I think they are being sneaky by making it tell you that the ink is low way before necessary. A lot of people will just replace it right away thinking that it is almost gone anyway.
READ THIS IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE! DON'T REPLACE THE INK RIGHT AFTER THE PRINTER TELLS YOU IT IS GETTING LOW! WAIT UNTIL THE PRINTS START TO LOOK BAD. IT WILL KEEP PRINTING FINE FOR A LONG TIME AFTER IT FIRST WARNS YOU THAT IT IS LOW!

Pros: Works great.
Cons: Estimated Ink Levels aren't accurate. I wouldn't replace the cartridges until i have a print which is physically missing ink. It'll get expensive if you were to replace it everytime it says one is empty. I've probably done atleast 100 prints since my first cartridge was showing empty. Still havent replaced notta 1 and Still going strong.... even though all show as empty.
Other Thoughts: 3 eggs for the estimated ink levels.

Garbage

Pros: none that i got to see.
Cons: CD/DVD didnt work. When working with HP online they couldnt even get it to work. Ink then got stuck and wouldnt come out. Plus i had to pay another 22.00 just to get this broken junk back to newegg since they dont cover return shipping on garbage broken items.
Other Thoughts: This isnt the first time i've gotten semi defective products from newegg and having to pay return shipping on something that was damaged really sucks.
