5 out of 5 eggsLOVE MY 2ND WIDEFORMAT HP!

Pros: Too lazy to write.
Just get it esp. for wide format. I flirted with C a n0n & Ep s 0 n before. But I became HP fanboy many years ago. They're like Intel: conservative specs & claims, datasheets don't claim "best in the world, fastest, speed demon, immense resolution", etc. Bu the end my HP printers beat other brands by multiple parameters - including specs are betetr than they specify, whereas I've seen Can 0 n s, etc worse actual print output than HP.
Usually cheap printers hook you up by forcing into buying expensive ink cartridges later, NOT THIS ONE!
Ink is cheaper than my previous HP. Also I get refills from E * a y anyway.
The person below me who complained is a newbie who (AS USUAL) didn't setup correct settings and could not print one page before starting complaining.

Cons: None. Just newbie folks who don't know how tyo setup Wide-Format printer and start complaining

Other Thoughts: VERY FAST! I have one of the fastest & small sized inkjets on market - HP 6940 (?), but even that is only marginally faster in Black&White than this HP Officejet7000, as of Color - this Officejet7000 actually beats my speed demon HP 6940.
Who needs laser printer, seriously?
Years ago you knew why you need Laser.
But nowadays if you need low weight/size - you can have these 2 HP inkjets instead.
Laser is still the technology for corporate massive/fast printing but those come in over 100 pounds weights and monster sizes.
For anything else - get inkjet. Besides, color lasers are finicky and still inferior to inkjet.
Inkjet's downside is of course idealing with ink tanks if you print lots of thick high res photos.

5 out of 5 eggsI second the Graphic Gooroo

Pros: By far the bestinkjet on the market today. Also, these go on sale at the a really great price. As far as paper goes, I got 11X17 for 7.99 a pack and 13x19 for 8.99 so I kinda know a deal when I C 1 and this is the deal whether you pay full price or not. Unbelievable black and white output as well.

Cons: EATS INK~~ If you want photo style portraits, be prepared to shell out 15 bucks for the ink (for one pic), Also, forget about regular and go for extended use cartridges. IMHO, buy two of each, cuz once you see a photo quality 13x19, your going to want more!

Other Thoughts: It also screams outputting office docx and all the Power Point presentations you want.

5 out of 5 eggsMany are wrong about this printer

Pros: Printer produces photo quality 11x17...EVERY TIME! Not one hitch. Also produces Office documents with the speed of a road runmer. I have owned an HP 4 p, s series of deskjects and no less that for 4 HP 8240's. This printer by far is by far the best inkiket I've owned by far. Also, have a NF1522NF. So I can say the I'm an expert with hp product printers and never have had a problem with any of them. As a matter of fact, sill hav't fired up the two extra HP8250 and the original one is still working fine.

Cons: The new printer has surpassed my expectations, contrary to the goodf ball who don't use the correct settings or the correct settings. My pictures are lifelike to say the least.

Other Thoughts: I bought this printer it was a steal

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Setup on network very easy. Multi OS house, MAC, several flavors of Windows, Ubuntu Linux. All setup with equal ease. A surprise was the equal footing Linux has with driver and utility support. Way to go HP! All available on HP web site.
Works like you expect a printer to work. No problems printing from any program.
Arrived very quick, thanks NEWEGG.
Being able to print to Tabloid size a big plus.

Cons: Ink tanks
its an inkjet after all

Other Thoughts: Bought as a supplement to an old Apple Laserwriter network printer that Windows no longer provides drivers for.
One review mentions inability to print from some programs
After reading that, I tried printing from various programs when it arrived, to see if I would have any issues
No problems were encountered
Including Office Mac, Windows Office, Open Office, several Adobe graphics programs, GIMP, several text editors.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Good

Pros: Low Cost Wide Format

Cons: Owned this for 4 weeks now and have not gotten ANY output from it yet. Installed originally as a networked printer and then as a USB printer when that didn't work. In both cases, the printed would successfully print a test page but when trying to send print jobs to it from MS Office (2007)...
simply ejects a blank page!!

Other Thoughts: E-mail to HP support produced only an automated response - nothing else. By far the most useless printer I have ever owned... what has gone wrong at HP??

5 out of 5 eggsHP OJ-7000

Pros: Works as advertised. Setup was OK - except that the instructions did not cover the setup procedure for a link to a wireless cable modem/ethernet router/usb hub... I
Just pretended it was an ethernet link and it did its thing its self.
Much faster than my previous DJ-1120C.
Uses less ink than my Epson Artisan 800
Being able to do 11x17 was my major consideration.

Cons: Have't found one yet.

Other Thoughts: New EGG was $100 less than everyone else.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Easy to set up.terrific photo's

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I replaced my hp photosmart with a epson 610 which was a big mistake. The printer smeared the photos with lines in them. Then I went back to HP and I love the officejet 7000 and I could not be happier. We have printed about 100 of the 11x17 and 13x19 and I can't imagine a better photo quality.
