5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Laser Printer

Pros: Set up takes about 5 minutes right out of the box. DHCP hookup to the network is automatic, and manual setup is straight forward. Parameters can be configured from a web browser using 192.168.#.#. It plays well with Linux and hplip. It replaces well the HP LaserJet 4200, 4350 and 5100 models. It is slightly smaller, lighter, and faster than these models. Good Buy.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bottom line, good workhorse printer for the small office.

5 out of 5 eggsWorkhorse

Pros: This printer is a real workhorse. Average almost 7000 pages a month on it and have had zero issues with it.

Cons: None that I have come across.

Other Thoughts: Have had other HP printers and other than the original HPLJ II, most were really not that good. Quality, durability, were not up to par. This printer though, seems to be a workhorse. Only time will tell if we get the years out of it like the HP LJ II.

5 out of 5 eggsGood reliable printer

Pros: We've been using a HP P3015n for about a year and a half. No problems so far after 35,000 pages. Make sure you get the appropriate printer for your usage. P4015n might be a better bet for heavy usage.

Cons: No problems.

4 out of 5 eggsMostly flawless

Pros: Have 3 of these. Prints fast, output is good, very few jams.
Ran into the issue with the machine thinking the back door is open a few times with 1. The recommended monthly volume is only 1500 - 5000, as opposed to the 10k Angry Old Man says is within capacity.

Cons: Maybe someone can explain how HP can claim 100,000 page monthly duty cycle, but then recommend only 1500 - 5000 pages per month.

1 out of 5 eggsPirate booty no, Dog booty yes

Pros: It's fast, when it's running

Cons: Purchased this HP printer for work. We average about 10K prints a month on it, well within its monthly capacity. However, it is constantly having problems with jams. Why? No idea. It runs hot and it jams. It also seems to think the back door for the duplex unit is open all the time. It is not open and has only been opened by us when we want to get rid of the message saying it is open.

Other Thoughts: Ive switched from HP printers to Brother printers due to ongoing quality problems with HP products. HP inkjets are worthless and a mess. HP laserjets tend to be better, but still have problems and are never able to manage to their alleged work capacity. Our Canon and Brother units work well.
