1 out of 5 eggsnewegg sells stuff new out of warranty

Pros: decent printer when the c510a worked

Cons: so I bought one 2/5/12 and it is having issues this week, week of 12/17/12, so I do a warranty lookup and status on hp's site, it says it expired back 8/31/11 !!! I bought a new item, out of warranty for 5+ months from new egg, unbelievable!

Other Thoughts: Sad new egg item, sold as new, was new, but out of warranty according to the vendor, long before I even bought it!

2 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: It looks nice. Tablet is okay, but lacks customization.

Cons: Owned 2 units both with issues. I don't remember the defect on the first. Dock defective on second one.

Other Thoughts: I've seen and worked on a number of HP product over the years including notebook PCs and printers. All have been difficult to work on, get support for, and tend to be low quality. DON'T BOTHER WITH HP.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Printer

Pros: I purchased this printer at the best buy store, while looking for a LED monitor. The printer is great, first, the TouchSmart is nice, easy to use, you can download apps, rearrange the screen widgets, similar to an android OS. Of course you can use the Touch Smart to Print, Fax, and scan while dock or wireless.

Setup is easy takes about 12mins, wireless has not drop on me yet, and I have had the printer for two weeks.

Photo quality is nice, it has a specify tray to insert photo glossy paper.
And of course once you connect the printer to your wireless network, any computer on the network can print to it. This printer is for home to small business use. If you like the bells and whistles this printer is for you. If you are not computer savvy, or afraid of Technology then this printer is NOT for you.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: If you like the bells and whistles this printer is for you. If you are not computer savvy, or afraid of Technology then this printer is NOT for you.

1 out of 5 eggsComplete Garbage

Pros: Good to look at.

Cons: Printer drops sync. Zeen never functions. Been through 2 full replacements by HP, after horrific tech support that I can not understand. Tech support refuses to acknowledge a problem with their product and insist user error, even after following their instructions step by step still does not solve the problem. Zeen never synced with printer. Refuses to recognize it is docked with the printer, but does see it's getting a charge from it. Zeen is slow as hell. Difficult beyond belief to try to update anything. Darn near impossible to download apps. This product and the support I got from one of my favorite tech companies threw their reputation so far in the trash I will turn friends/family away from their products indefinitely. Dirka tech support needs to end NOW!

Other Thoughts: HP dropped the ball. Would rather save money by utilizing cheap and terrible oversea tech support that reads off a screen in a dialect that's impossible to understand, rather than pay a knowledgeable person who can communicate effectively to customers they should care about. The physical design was great, the electrical design is beyond flawed. Failure to put forth any effort to save this customer from more than a years worth of headache ruined their reputation permanently.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly Good Printer

Pros: Plenty of additional features not found on other all-in-ones, excellent connectivity options as well as excellent build quality.

Cons: Out of box setup is a little cumbersome, wish HP wouldn't push optional software on end users.

Other Thoughts: Overall excellent printer despite common ratings, after all it is a home-use printer, not a photo-lab or printing press...

1 out of 5 eggsShoddy printer

Pros: Very versatile, nice looking, fast printing - when it works.

Cons: Shoddy construction, tablet is very glitchy and sloooooowww. The overall operation of the printer is very kludgey. Mine broke down after 5 months of light use. The paper feeder went bad very fast. I would recommend this printer to my enemies, but no one else.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Printer/Scanner/Fax

Pros: Good print quality, fast printing, wireless printing and scanning. Lots of extras in the box including efax, which allows you to send and receive 20 faxes per month free of charge. Printer email address which automatically prints out any email sent there- nice. Detachable tablet computer running on android OS. Pokey at first, but got faster after a firmware update. Convenient and a nice gadget but it won't replace anyone's 'real' tablet anytime soon. It's the wireless connectivity that allows every pc in my home to print that makes this system valuable for me. I can place it anywhere that's convenient for me, instead of having it in my office with the USB cable dangling out so my wife and kids can use it too. I loaded Ubuntu onto my son's system just for kicks and was pleased to see that the drivers loaded into the system and printing went off flawlessly.

Cons: I sure wish it had an automatic document feeder (ADF). You're forced to put one page at a time on the glass and then tell the system you're wanting to copy/fax/scan another page for anything more than one. If it didn't do all the other things so well, it'd be a deal-breaker for me. Shakes my desk when printing LOL! While setup went off without a hitch, it was a long, drawn-out procedure.

Other Thoughts: I have my old HP officejet 5510 attached to my current system for multi-page scans, if needed.

Newegg got this bad boy to me in less than 3 days. Newegg ROCKS!!

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: Easy setup, pretty much the same as any wifi printer.

The Zeen (Tablet) has been updated to 2.2 Froyo. I used the update app to upgrade. Made it snappier. The app store now has k's of apps. The ink is cheaper then the Cannon MP800 it replaced... By half. Has the Kindle App. Works as a photo slideshow when docked. Goes to sleep when not in use. Looks sharp and at the $299 price point is a bargain for a 7" Tablet, that happens to have printer with it. :)

Cons: There is a Yahoo Digest App that can't be removed easily and throws up an error message...this should have been fixes by now! The android tablet has an HP skin.

Other Thoughts: Glad HP chose to support it and provide the 2.2 update to Frozen bring on Gingerbread! Should be rooted and if the printer wears out you'll still have tablet!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Great tablet that is lightning fast. I was able to sync all my e-mails with its service. $100 cheaper on Newegg than in Best Buy. Wireless printing is amazing and they hook you up with epring which gives you a seperate e-mail address that you can e-mail a document to and it prints it out for you wherever your at.

Cons: Sometimes the wireless connection disconnects. Tablet does not allow you to turn just the screen off however there is a screensaver that you click on that makes it dark. Apps are very limited.

Other Thoughts: all and all what a great product. Well worth it and I feel like I learn something new about it everyday!
