1 out of 5 eggsGarbage Drivers

Pros: None

Cons: Drivers install "sometimes", but mostly end with the printer showing up under "unspecified devices" and not able to be used.

HP drivers are a joke. The "unspecified deviced" error with USB printing is real. Google it yourself and see how many other people experience it.

Other Thoughts: Avoid HP junk and go with Canon, Epson, Ricoh or even a Lexmark. They all install easily and just work.

3 out of 5 eggsSomething of a step backward for HP portable

Pros: Smallish, fairly fast printing speed. Overall ease of use. Battery powered, BT connectivity as standard.

Cons: No included cable. Cheap feeling construction. Panels are very easily broken. Not as good as the previous model. Missing SD slot. HP no longer includes the USB cable. (COME ON HP! You're paying cents on the dollar for these things) Larger than previous offerings. Top cover can be challenging to open and can break if one isn't careful.

Other Thoughts: The HP Officejet 100 is an "evolution" of previous portable printers offered in the past (HP 350, 450, 460, H470)

However, it's larger, heavier and appears to have lost some function, at least for the "base" models. For instance, the the built-in SD card reader is missing.

I'm at a loss as to why HP took this route. The name of the game is adding features while at the same time making for a smaller package.

My company has nearly 100 HP 460 & H470 printers. They are fairly robust and are small enough to fit within the confines of a backpack.

The OJ 100 is larger by over 20mm in width and 10mm in length. It's also heavier by almost .5 Kg. This doesn't seem like much, but it does add up.

It also doesn't seem to be any faster than the H470 it is replacing. It uses the same ink cartridges, so print quality isn't any better.
From a business POV, I like that it uses the same ink cartridges as before, but the power cable is different. I miss the H470, I think it was superior.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks As Exspected

Pros: Compact and prints better than past mobile printers that I have used.

Cons: Sometimes when connected to AC power the printer does not shut down when the power button is pressed. Tends to double feed pages when printing.

Other Thoughts: Prints well text and photos. Compact and easy to transport.

2 out of 5 eggsBad first impression

Pros: It has all the features that I'm wanting I know it has a good potentional.

Cons: Unfortunately... the printer won't recoginize that there is any paper in it so just sits there blinking wanting paper inserted. Went through HP's troubleshoot with no luck. The trouble shooters last suggestion is that it needs to be sent in for servicing. I'm sending it back for a replacement

Other Thoughts: I'll have to see how the replacement works. I know someone that has this printer and it works great for him.. I guess I was just unlucky on my first one.
