4 out of 5 eggsNice little color laser

Pros: Low cost, quieter than earlier models (though it does clunk a little on color printouts). Easy set up. Postscript and PCL support. Works well with both PC and Mac. Just replaced an older model that I had for years. I really like these little Minolta lasers and they don't have bloated software drivers like HP.

Cons: Clunky when printing color. Slow to start from sleep mode. Small cartridges (though much cheaper than the bigger ones). Toner and OPC drum have page counter chips (a pain) though toner refills are available with chips for reasonable prices.

Other Thoughts: Overall, these are my favorite small color laser based on their small size, simple drivers, output quality and cost. A lovable little color laser.

2 out of 5 eggsCan't print envelopes

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Can not print on envelopes well.
The envelopes come out wrinkled and curved. This made it very hard to feed through our postage machine. When I spoke to tech support they said there was nothing they could do and that they didn't support printing on envelopes. Not impressed.

1 out of 5 eggsGood printer when it was working

Pros: prints good, and fast

Cons: This printer stopped working about 6 months after purchase. it just sits there on "initializing". I've tried everything to bring it around.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little printer

Pros: This is a great little printer. Quality of the printing is great. I use is everyday for both Business and personal printing as it is cheaper per page then any ink jet out there.

Cons: A little slow when printing color, nut not bad.

Other Thoughts: The printer does not come with a duplex-er but an add on unit is available alone with an additional paper tray.

2 out of 5 eggsCorrection 600x600 DPI

Pros: nice amount of
Memory 256 MB and 400 MHz (Zoran Quatro 4230)

Cons: ..5ppm color and 22 ppm b&W making it one of the slowest in its class for color printing . Expensive Toner cartridges since they hold only half the amount of competitor cartridges (2,500 pages)

Other Thoughts: 12/2/2009 The Printer dpi is 600x600 not 9600x600 dpi as the title currently indicates.

3 out of 5 eggsProbably not duplexing

Pros: Impressive specs

Cons: Konica-Minolta product page strongly suggests the duplexer is an add-on option, not standard...
