The Xerox Phaser 6180N color printer offers your Ethernet workgroup brilliant color and 26 pages per minute. It’s rated for a 60,000 page duty cycle, so your entire workgroup will be able to print their jobs without overworking the printer! Xerox's Emulsion Aggregate (EA) toner is different, because it's chemically grown, instead of ground to powder. This means its particles are more uniform, so when they're deposited on your paper, they make crisper lines and text, and more uniform images. EA toner is Pantone color-approved, so you know you're getting the best color possible.
Your company's print media will look bolder and brighter than ever before, and thanks to the Phaser's Fast Ethernet adapter, you can do it all in house, over your own network. The Phaser's standard paper trays hold 400 sheets (an optional third tray will hold an additional 550), and you'll be able to print on cover stock, recycled paper, transparencies, and gloss stock, so you can generate whatever your company needs.

OUTRAGEOUS? I think not
- Pros: Great speed, great text and graphics. As some have mentioned once you get color managment configured correctly this is a solid solid printer for the money. We use this for all my wifes realestate printing needs and it was the best money spent. Though I need the duplexer now hehe
- Cons: paper path is a bit convoluted and will wrinkle envelopes and produce a nice curve in heavy card stock.
- Other Thoughts: As for the poster who said the toner is outrageous I beg to differ. A simple search here on the egg will show your numbers are a bit misleading. Hi Cap (8000 page) black at UNDER $200 normal color at under $100 you can refit the entire machine for less then $500 with hicap black and normal color. By the way this is pretyt much inline with eveyone else.
Also when the toner estimator tells you to replace your cart you still have a lot left. Take it out and give it a nice shake and your good I will chek my numbers and get back to you on the first cart
Great but use caution!
- Pros: Fast, inexpensive PRINTER, great output.
- Cons: Toner cost is OURAGEOUS and the starter toner you get with the printer prints very little.
- Other Thoughts: BEWARE: The price for hi-capacity (5000) page toner is TWICE the price of the machine and regular capacity is almost as much. NO 3rd party/refill/generic toner available yet due to proprietary chip. The is toner that should cost no more than $60 per color, but each one costs more than $200--one black, 3 colors= over $800 to replace your toner!

- Pros: Great printer for the cost. Everything worked fine right out of the box. Using this printer in a small business enviroment with 5 computers networked to use this printer. Very easy to set up for any level of user.
- Cons: None yet. Some say the replacement cartridges are pricey but when calculated on a cost per page it is in line with most printers especially if you factor in the features and the deals (rebate & free Shipping).
- Other Thoughts: I am using primarily for presentation reports to clients and the graphics and out put is fantastic. I did a lot of home work before purchasing this printer.
Great Printer - Deceptive Rebate
- Pros: Fast. Excellent print quality. Easy setup. Very well built.
- Cons: When I purchased this printer about a month ago, it was advertized with a "$100 mail-in rebate" offer. Marvelous deal! But there are complaints from users about the rebate. So I looked carefully at the rebate form. It stated in footnote : "Bundle Offer **Additional $100 rebate on Phaser 6180 when purhcased with Phaser 6180MFP on the same invoice". Well, seems that $100 rebate is OK. I just won't get the extra $100 as I am buying just one printer. So I ordered and as usual, Newegg shipped quickly. Then I went on Xerox's website to apply for the rebate and find out in clear terms that the rebate is a bundle offer only. So I called Newegg and ask them to investigate and update their advertizing if the rebate is not what it seems. A week later, Newegg still advertize it as a "mail-in rebate". So I thought may be I misunderstood and I went through with the application. But today I receive an email from Xerox denying my application. Lesson learned. Don't trust rebate offers from Xerox.
- Other Thoughts: Newegg's website is now updated and removed the misleading "mail-in rebate" offer and listed the rebate correctly as a bundle offer.
Nice Printer
- Pros: For the Price range and what it does I can fully agree with alot of the professional reviews about this printer. Network setup is a breeze, drivers easy to use and print speed very fast for this class.
- Cons: Alot of the add on products and upgrades from Xerox a bit on the high end of the price scale.

These printers come with a standard cartridge which will last you quite a while. There was a defect in toner detection ( happened to me) that was saying you were out of toner but really were not, call xerox support for that. The first year is a ON SITE warranty (YEA!) and the tech was out to my house the next day with parts.
The paper path has nothing to do with curving card stock. Paper and card stock curl or curve in ALL LASER PRINTERS because the paper has absorbed to much moisture from the air. The paper gets "steamed" as it passes through the fuser. Make sure you keep unused paper sealed (zip lock) and if you have extreme climate changes, going from overcast mornings to clear hot days, you might have to toss out the paper in the printer if it curls or jams alot and put in fresh from a sealed package.
This is SO MUCH CHEAPER than a ink jet, a full color full page photo costs around a $1.00 a page, on this printer it costs $0.31.
