5 out of 5 eggsFlawless Multifunction Printer

Pros: It came extremely well packed, was a breeze to setup. My girlfriend and I were printing wirelessly from our tablets, phones and laptops within minutes of turning this printer on. Copier works as good as the one at my office. Printer looks real nice on the desk as well. Print quality is excellent.

Cons: No cons to really report here.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend this printer for its sheer simplicity of use, and of course, Camaon quality. Very satisfied with my choice here. I reviewed this printer extensively before I purchased it, and I certainly am glad that I did.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good multifunction printer

Pros: Easy to setup in wireless mode. Works as advertised out of the box.

Cons: Instructions for using certain functions are not too clear and requires some effort to cut through the "fog".

5 out of 5 eggsGreat medium-duty B&W laser

Pros: 1) Compact size (for a laser printer)
2) Print speed
3) Toner life!!!
4) Ease of use
5) Reliable, so far
6) Connectivity

Cons: 1) Still a bit pricey compared to your typical inkjet MFC
2) Slightly more bulky than your standard inkjet
***Obviously, these are opinionated comparisons, and do not reflect on the quality of this printer!***

Other Thoughts: I've always thought about changing to a laser printer, but for one reason or another, always came up with an excuse why it wasn't necessary. Recently, my job changed, and now I have need to print out B&W forms, orders, letters, charts and spreadsheets daily, so I figured now was the time to give it a go and see if the laser printers lived up to their hype, or if my pessimism was well placed.

I'm delighted to say that I have been thrilled with the functionality, speed, and most of all, longevity of the toner with this laser printer. The toner was my primary concern, because, like most ink jet users, I've been ordering Canon knock-offs online for years for about $3 per cartridge. Also, like most users, I hate how short their lifespan is. This laser printer has been quite the surprise in that department. I've now owned it for about 6 months, with daily use (perhaps 10 pages per day, on average, 5 days a week) and I'm still on the "Starter" toner that shipped with the unit! In fact, I've only used about 1/3 of it, according to the printer's "Toner Status" app.

Summary: Pleasantly surprised with toner longevity, as fast and clean as the hype says they are, overall very pleased with the printer and would certainly recommend it for a light to medium duty requirement.

5 out of 5 eggsI would buy again!

Pros: Easy connection to windows 7 (unlike my previous experience with HP inkjet) Low cost of ink per copy (unlike my previous experience with HP inkjet) and most importantly the scanner will not quit working because my ink is "out of date" as my previous HP inkjet. Duplex printing was a must. Clean appearance, small footprint. Easy connection to my four, network, and wireless, connected computers. Never has not printed correctly, never has failed to connect quickly to a newly turned on network computer.

Cons: None after using for over 5 months. I bought mine for home use, I think it would work well in an office environment. OK, one con, It was not free.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this product. I wanted to buy the lowest price quality laser duplex printer with low cost per copy and I think I lucked out and found the perfect product for me. I bought it for home use, and I think it would work well in an office given the size of the storage tray for blank paper. Good reputation, excellent quality and features, product lived up to reputation, and yes, I would buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Multifunction Laser Printer

Pros: Easy setup, Fast, Duplex printing, auto feed, Works with Mac, Windows PC, iPad and iPhone

Cons: None at this time after 1 month of usage

Other Thoughts: I got this printer mostly for scanning in documents. I'm very impressed with the speed, especially using the auto feeder and printing from both sides.
I've always been a fan of Canon printers as this is my third one over the past 10 years. Customer service is fantastic as well. For a previous printer that began having printing issues after 5 years, I called Canon and they walked me through various troubleshooting scenarios. They even sent me "free" cartridges to try out. When it didn't work, they gave me 40% off a similar printer which I still use today.
