4 out of 5 eggsSo far So good

Pros: Quiet...No ink to dry out, We use a printer only a couple times a month...It never failed that the old inkjet would have issues...clogged printer head etc...This should not be a problem of the past.

Cons: Cant figure out how to print from my Ipad/cell phone yet....

Other Thoughts: I have the unit hard wired to my home router, My laptop quickly connected and works great. I have not had much luck with my hand held devices including my Ipad and Droid cell phone. The Dell App for my phone says that this printed is not supported....the Ipad can see it...but the printer is "cancelling" the job before it starts to print. If anyone knows how to fix..please reply.

4 out of 5 eggsNot too shabby

Pros: Relatively quiet, quick to first page on either color or BW. Smaller so it doesnt leave a big footprint. Got 2 of these for $129 a piece and for that price they were a steal. Fairly close to rated PPM. Good on toner and accepts aftermarket toner as well without changing any settings, got mine from LD for half the price of Dell Toner. Easy setup although wireless could be tricky if not familiar with how to set it up.

Cons: Toner is installed in the side of the printer so in an office environment, kind of awkward but its small and not heavy so easy to move to install.

For around the $200 range you might be able to find a quicker printer but if it goes on sale again, grab it up.

Other Thoughts: Decent printer, worth taking a chance on.

5 out of 5 eggsbest laser printer

Pros: i have used laser printers at home now for a few years, and i rely on Dell because of quality and price. this is a great color network printer. i enjoy a couple of things about this unit.
1) compared to most other brands at the level and price...this printer has the best quality and speed. i mean this thing prints about 15-20ppm COLOR compared to 5-7 from other top-brand lasers
2) when it comes time to replace a toner i usually visit my local cartridge world. i can pick up a replacement toner that day for about $35, and they dont even have to send it off or order one, because Dell's are a popular brand
3) the black toner alone can give you about 14,000 pages between refills, and that is not even using toner saving mode. i suppose you could stretch that out another several thousand pages by using toner saving mode. THAT IS SOME CHEAP PRINTING!!
4) this printer is super easy to setup as a network printer. simply set the ip and install the software

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: being a user of inkjets in the past and lasers recently...i highly recommend these printers. i mean the initial purchase might not seem worth it to some, but trust me it is. sure you can get an inkjet for about $40, and this one for $150 (got mine on sale), but if you think about the price down the road this laser saves alot of money. one black replacement inkjet cartridge cost $35 and last about 200-300 pages, compare to this printer at $40 for a black replacement toner and prints about 14,000 pages. you do the math. not to mention inkjets print 3ppm color compared to 16ppm color laser. dont even get me started on B/W printing. this monster spits out over 30ppm with fast settings. i wouldn't think of owning another printer, because my wife is in charge of designing and printing our church bulletins, and this beast handles the job without breaking a sweat and we go several months between toner refills. great job Dell
