5 out of 5 eggsGreat Printer

Pros: Great color printing, no problems with gradients, no banding. Images are good. I use this for sales sheets that are full color with images and am not disappointed. Will not print edge to edge but duplex is perfect. I am happy with the speed that it prints at too for a home office, no problem.

Cons: Supplied toner as shipped needed replacement after maybe 200 prints.

Other Thoughts: Will try LD toner from New Egg.

4 out of 5 eggsGood printer

Pros: Good quality output.

Cons: Big, heavy for home use. But I knew that going in.

600X600 dpi, on the low side for modern printers. That said it produces nice crisp graphics. That resolution on a standard letter page is fine unless you're wanting to do high end photo reproduction.

Other Thoughts: To the person mentioning that it needs a dedicated circuit, it doesn't. Continuous power use is rated at 520w, which is on the high side. But your PC is probably pulling close to that already, maybe more (mine has a 700w power supply). If it's tripping the breaker then your circuit was pretty close to overloaded already. A standard 20 amp circuit will hit close to 2400w before tripping. And it doesn't trip instantly, you actually have to exceed that quite a bit for a few minutes before it trips.

1 out of 5 eggsNeeds a dedicated electrical circuit

Pros: Unknown

Cons: Needs a dedicated electrical circuit

Other Thoughts: This may be a great printer; I will never know because it blew my electrical circuit most every time I plugged it in and, even when I could get it to start up, it would blow the circuit every time I tried to print. Dell tech support told me that this printer needs a dedicated circuit, I don't know how many amps the circuit should be because this requirement is undocumented but it clearly will not work when it is the only device on a standard 20A home office breaker. It may be as good as advertised but it;'s a refund for me. Newegg has been great except for trying to sell me return shipping when they will pay return shipping when asked on the phone.

2 out of 5 eggsPrints Fine, But...

Pros: Built well and prints fast with high quality images.

Cons: Get ready to pay for toner. This baby eats toner and it cost about $100 to replace the 4 toner cartriges.
