5 out of 5 eggsGreat HP Printer

Pros: Great HP Printer Have used it 2 years and are just getting ready to put in first maintenance kit.

Cons: Maintenance kits are a little high priced

Other Thoughts: Other reviewer that reports high capacity toners don't work is incorrect. All we have been using for the past 2 years is high capacity toner and been getting over 22K pages per cartridge.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Printer

Pros: Toner is 10,000 pages and if you go to ink technologies you can get replacement toner for under $50.

Cons: Heavy weighs like 50 lbs, but no big deal once you get it set up where you want.

1 out of 5 eggsWill not manual feed

Pros: So far none.

Cons: Will not manual feed without pressing the ok button several times at the printer. HP website horribly slow. Tried several drivers with no luck. Other owners complain of same issues and no fix that I could find.

Other Thoughts: We have had several other HP printers and this one has been the toughest to configure.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Network Printer

Pros: I have purchased a number of these printers for use in office suites where we are moving away from desktop printers. They print reasonably fast, are very reliable and reasonably priced. The only issue I've has is with the envelope feeder add-on which needs a lot of driver tweaking to actually print envelopes.

Cons: tricky envelope feeder

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Great HP

Pros: As usual, it's another great HP workgroup printer. First page out is quick and print speed is terrific.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Boot time if long, but I never turn mine off so it doesn't affect me. The only thing I've ever needed to service on an HP workgroup printer are the rubber rollers (the kits are inexpensive) -- after a couple hundred thousand pages, they wear out. I wish I could say the same about HP's personal printers. Some were downright awful.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This Printer is a good quality machine

Cons: Dumb reviewers

Other Thoughts: How are you going to say you a 5 egg tech knowledge and you can't even tell that this printer might not take the x cartridge. That is just absurd. HP has been doing this forever. Some people want a machine with 500 sheet tray but don't need 24000 page cartridges. This is why you don't do your own research and deal with a local printer/computer store who knows what they are doing!!

3 out of 5 eggsOK, but no high-yield toner

Pros: Quiet and fast, relatively small footprint.

Cons: Doesn't accept the 90x high-yield toner. Online documentation of that fact varies widely, and I really had to do some digging to find that out.

Now I'm forced into using 10k page yield toners instead of 24k, which is going to cost more over the long run. Disappointed that HP would pull something like this.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is awesome

Pros: Fast, Quiet, built in Ethernet, easy to configure, HP, Inexpensive toner vs yield, add-on tray available.

Cons: Seriously there aren't any!

Other Thoughts: We replaced an old 4200 workhorse with this unit. It has similar toner yield & better speed. We couldn't be happier!
