1 out of 5 eggsTOTAL JUNK

Pros: printed good, for a week.

Cons: Not touch sensitive comes up with wrong preferences, takes multiple touchs for it to work at all. Printer will not Powerup this morning, after checking all cables/plugs still no powerup. My 7520 will not Fax send/receive. Called HP SUPPORT, what a joke, they speak terrible english, cant understand what they are jabbering most of the time. in fact, first time I called they want remote control of your PC, I allowed it, & they messed up my aol browser, had to call again to straighten out, multi calls later, was told they would call back in two hours, NO CALL BACK. If You Buy HP Products dont expect support in english. This is the last of HP products for me. No more HP products at all.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Oddly enought this is the first printer I've owned, but I'm thoroughly impressed with it.
It is shared between 2 desktops, 3 laptops, and a phone and never misses a beat.
If I have something to print and not at my house at that moment, the option to print to it remotely is a nice feature.
Setup is/was easy.

Cons: Honestly haven't found one

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible!

Pros: Easy setup, especailly the wireless. We had trouble with our last printer trying to setup wireless, but this HP is efortless. Holds picture paper separatly. Hold more paper. Cost is much lower than we expected for the features we needed.

Cons: Well, thats a good one. I cant think of any, except if the price was lower, but one thing for sure, no matter what, you always get what you pay for. Buy a $85 printer, and you`ll get what you pay for. This HP was on sale, less than $200

Other Thoughts: couldnt be happier now, It was easy to setup, wireless, and internet are working with ease, maybe to easy=) if you have a computer, you have problems.(I always say)

1 out of 5 eggsDead on arrival

Pros: Makes an excellent door stop.

Cons: Mine was dead on arrival. It kept complaining of a non-existent paper jam, during setup. I suspect this was probably caused by the cheap plastic duplexer that mates poorly with the printer body.

Regrettably, I ordered from HP direct. After four hours of effort, I may have succeeded in returning this thing to them. So, needless to say, horrendous customer service.

Bottom line, if you gamble, and buy this thing, order from some reputable vendor (like Newegg) that has an easy return policy.

Other Thoughts: Too bad it didn't work. It had all the features I wanted at a decent price. I seem to be accumulating a collection of printers I don't like. Today, they seem more like vehicles for ink sales, than actual, quality printers.

4 out of 5 eggsConvient photo printer, color scanner, copy machine, and fax that works 100% on Ubuntu Linux

Pros: It has everything to print photos, including borderless/full-bleed, in multiple sizes.

Works on Ubuntu Linux, though you need the latest HPLIP, just plug it in via USB 2.0 and it's auto-detected. It also works wireless/bluetooth. Ink levels, status, and full mantainance functions work from HPLIP, though it has an interactive display such that the printer is 100% computer-independent (works on its own).

You can also initiate color or gray scans and black & white faxes from Linux as well, using any scanning program and HPLIP fax utility (respectively). There is a multiple page feeder on top of the printer and a single page scanner lid to input documents.

Cons: The page scanner lid and the printer lid handles are close together (vertically) and you hands/fingers can get tactually confused as to which one you are opening.

There are a few downsides; takes about an hour to physically set it up, and several minutes to boot up if you turn it off and on a lot.

It uses a 5 ink cartridge system; 564 black, 564 photo black, 564 magenta, 564 yellow, and 564 cyan. All the 564 * ink cartridges come in regular and XL capacities. The down side is that each HP ink cartridge is up to 1200% markup in cost.

USB memory stick compatabilty for scanning and printing only supports those that have a filesystem formatted to VFAT, not NTFS or HFS filesystems (no Windows or Mac support).

Paper often gets jammed and sometimes the printer claims there is a paper size mismatch (often with the 4x6 photo sizes).

When you print, you need to check the paper trays in your application's printer setup, there is a Main and a Photo Tray.
