1 out of 5 eggsnot worth anything

Pros: Not many, looks good, and fast when there are no error, prints good in just black

Cons: The worst part is that the color alignment is off, I have tried everything they suggest to align, but they are still off. All pictures come out In a blur. The touch screen is hard to control. Also there is an error almost every time I print, so have to turn it off and bacon each time. Passed 30 days for return because I wanted to see if I could fix it cause shipping would be very expencive. So far a huge waste ofmoney, don't buy

Other Thoughts: I like hp products, but this one is a huge fail!

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless victory.

Pros: My entire experience with this printer has been great so far. I took it out of the box, removed all of the safety strips, added the wifi ssid and password using the touchscreen panel, and there it was, discoverable and ready to use for all of the PCs in the house. Windows 8.1 already had drivers for it, and there was no crapware to install. It was easy to download the drivers for Mac OS X as well, but not nearly as awesome.

Finally, I tried printing some color documents and was impressed with the quality and speed of the printing.

Also, the unit appeared to be brand new. At the refurbished price, this is a steal. It even came with toner intro packs, which will probably last me a long time.

It also has separate cyan/yellow/magenta cartridges which was a huge upgrade from my tricolor inkjet printer.

Cons: I didn't buy it sooner.

Probably won't use the "apps" or ePrint.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for home use to replace an inkjet. I'm sure it would be fine for any home or small office. I'm writing this review as a home user.

If you do the math on toner vs ink, toner is way cheaper per page even though the cartridges are more expensive to buy.

2 out of 5 eggsbad power supply

Pros: This is an inexpensive printer with good print quality. The toner is easy to replace. It prints quietly and has no odors that I noticed.

Cons: Both of the two units I have owned of this model have died in the same way: the unit makes a small popping sound, emits an electric smell, and then no longer can be powered on. One printer lasted a year or so. The other just 5 days. I can't recommend this model.

Other Thoughts: I'll be looking for a model that is more for the business market hoping that the parts will have a longer life.

5 out of 5 eggsLike New

Pros: Looks like a new unit, flawless. Often thought that refurbished units get individual attention that off the production line units don't get.

Prints beautiful color, very happy with quality per price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Newegg comes through as usual.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!

Pros: Great quality
Wireless works great!

Cons: HP Online was a pain to set up (but is not required)

Other Thoughts: The printer was "refurbished", but I would swear the unit I received was NEW. Was very east to set up and get going. I have this working on my wireless network alone (only cord is a power cord) and it works great! Working just as well with OSX as Win7 and with equal speed and quality.

My only downside was the HP Online Services was a bit of a pain to set up, but that is not required.

4 out of 5 eggsYes, I would recommend this printer

Pros: Like new. In fact I think the one I got is new. Some paperwork in the box makes me think they were retrofitted at HP with a modified energy savings firmware before they ever left the factory (just guessing). Great color. I love the fact it's wireless. After getting an e-mail address from HP you can e-mail from any place in the world directly to your printer. In my test the text came out first then the picture I attached printed out a bit later.

Cons: Comes with trial sized cartridges (-1 egg), but my inkjet only has 3400 page count and I've had it for 3-4 years (and dozens of cartridges), so I think the toner will last me a long time. Non-HP toner refills are about 100 for 4. I think the real, non-damaging toner is about 35 each. Setup was involved (you know how much stuff HP installs) but didn't require much attention. You have no chance to decline ASK search engine install but I found it later and uninstalled it.

Other Thoughts: I was a bit leary about anything marked refurb from newegg but I took a chance. Newegg told me they do not come with any cartridges, then they told me they were out of stock. Both, not true. Cheapest auct ion price I found was one eighty seven.
