Pros: Great discrete card much better quality than on board audio, Easy to install, very easy to switch between headphones and surround speakers

Cons: Does NOT work well with other drivers installed. Wont take an egg off because that's kinda expected.

Took me about 15 minutes of tinkering to figure out how to output 5.1 to my reciever through the optical out port. Instructions on Dolby Digital Live were a bit confusing but not impossible to figure out if you know what youre doing.

Other Thoughts: Its a sound card.

Pros: The sound card works well. I purchased the card to use it with my XP400 Turtle Beach headphones and it works; for the most part.

Cons: In order to use the Dolby Digital Live Surround for my PC, I was told I needed to download the DTS package from Creative's website. I paid the $4.72 for the software and they charged my card. I received a confirmation e-mail and a Tax receipt. They never sent me the link to download the software or the activation key. I contacted customer service via their website email twice. It's been almost 24 hours and I have not received a response. Normally I would wait longer for a response, but this is a downloadable file not a physical disk!
I did manage to download the free software for the card. It took 2 hours to download a 158.6 MB file from Creative’s website. My internet connection has a 30 Mbps download speed, so I know the speed issue is not on my end. I have 12 years of computer building and repairing experience, this is the worst support and customer service I have ever experienced. This is the first and last Creative product I will ever purchase.

Pros: Music sounds nice.

Cons: Sound crackles and there's nothing anyone can do about it. I thought creative labs were far past these types of issues...

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 simply doesn't work well with integrated sound cards. Go strictly USB or all your games will drive you crazy with crackling sound. Days of troubleshooting and reading hundreds of comments resulted in nothing. I can see why the price of this card has dropped dramatically over the last few months.

Pros: Night and day from the sound card I have been using. Highly recommend this card, many options, equalizer, surround, microphone support, bass. Lots of options and adjustments.

Cons: No cons, great card.

Pros: This card is aimed at the gaming crowd so it does what it set out to accomplish deliver great audio in games. Most of the people that would say this card is garbage are using the dedicated headphone amp to listen to music its a jack for (gaming) headsets not music guys and gals..

Cons: None really took me all of a 1/2 minute to understand the specialized Headphone amp Jack is for gaming only not music! time I shall never regain xD

Other Thoughts: If you game and you need great audio for pinpointing encroaching enemy's this card gets it done and done!

Pros: Very nice looking. Came with everything I needed. Very easy Set up. Not too bad of software.

Cons: Software doesn't have everything I was hoping for. For starters I can't adjust my bass. I have a slider but even on low my Bass every heavy and I turn Bass off, same thing still very loud.

The man reason it gets a 1. My headphones have the worst popping and beeping noses ever. its very very annoying. Before this card, If my headphones had no sound coming out of them it would know to shut them off now, with this card, it never turns off so I get beeps and slight hissing at all times. I HATE IT. Also Every 2 or so hours of use the worst static ever starts. And the only way it seems to shut off is by a complete computer restart, which wile gaming is a no go. I'll try to mess around a bit more tonight. But if no luck, this thing is going back either tomorrow or the next day and I'm giving Asus a shot.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if its because I have this in a 8x slot ( my 4x is being taken up by my fat graphics card. or maybe The slot has too much wattage ) or what but This card is so bad. I spent from 7pm until 11pm just setting it up and trying to make it sound right. Don't for get to turn off you old sound settings in device manager. Thanks for reading. hope I helped a little.

Pros: the soundcard is great for the price. sound is alot better then onboard sound. no hiss or crackle just put it in and DL the drivers whalla.

Other Thoughts: if your looking for a sound card but dont want to spend alot of $$$$ then this is the card for you i got for $54 and free shipping and got it a day early.
