Quality 2-Channel Soundcard
- Pros: This a very high quality 2 channel soundcard. If your looking for a very clean, high quality, 2 channel digital/analong output or input with midi connectors, this card is very well priced. The 2 discrete RCA stereo outputs sound much better than any of the Creative card's 1/8 inch summed stereo outputs. So if your not looking for surround, this is a much better option sounding option. I've also done many stereo recordings with this card, and the sound is very clean and transparent, and the card provides a decent amount of digital patchbay/routing options.
- Cons: No surround support but this card is more for people looking to do stereo recordings and the sound quality is much higher than most consumer surround cards.
true HIFI soundcard
- Pros: this soundcard gives good imaging and very detailed timbre when playing audio test CDs ( ESX , Stereophile ... ). A soundstage like this surely beats many loosely setup surround , even for gaming .
- Cons: I gotta connect it to a good 2 channel amp ( doubles as a stand for the LCD , not bad ) and a pair of high quality speakers to fully enjoy its pros :-)
- Other Thoughts: just a reminder : do not connect the analogue audio cable from your DVD/CD to the soundcard , all today drives are capable of audio digital playback so simply enable that and enjoy its very good D-A converter .

This is a GREAT CARD!
- Pros: High sound quality. This card was really designed for musicians and is recording quality audio.
- Cons: none.
- Other Thoughts: I've had one of these cards for probably a good 6-7 years and its still running strong! Never had a problem. I just bought a 2nd one for a new system I built. I use these cards to play MP3's to my stereo. If you use Winamp 5(not sure if it works on newer versions), you can get a ASIO plug-in off the web that will bypass windows and send the audio right to the card for higher quality. google "out_asio(dll)_060.7z" to find the plug-in, you won't regret it!
- Pros: Eliminates My old M-box, has data port so I can use a DigiRack. Integrates into ProTools seamlessly. MB recongnized it no problem, as did Vista. Now My Computer has RCA in's and out's. Spdif and midi also supported via adapter for the data port. Ableton 6 limited tracks version, You can still save and bounce to disk...
- Cons: Honestly, can't come up with any yet.
- Other Thoughts: I've owned many m-audio products over the years. This one is easily the most cost effective and sensible piece I've gotten.
Runs smoothly with:GA-EP45C-DS3R MB, Q9550 cpu , ocz PC312800 @1600mhz ram, pci exp16x graphics, hdd's, rom's and stuff. I'M GLAD I BOUGHT IT!!!!
A must have -serious audio
- Pros: This was part of an recording studio PC build. I record at 24bit/96K. Audio on the motherboard is decent. But with this card, the sound jumps out at you.
If you are considering upgrading your audio, don't settle for anything less. Get this card.
This card is plugged into a vintage 1976 Kenwood Receiver with Vintage Jensen (12", 4 way) speakers that I rebuilt. Sweet.
- Cons: The only con is you debating on getting one!
