Good sound card
- Pros: I've had this card now for about 2 years and it's a good card. No real problems with the actual functionality and the sound is great.
- Cons: If you are trying to get away from Creative then don't waste your money on this. It's Creative technology with the Auzen name on it.
Drivers can also be a bit strange to install. Constant blinking light on the card itself is pointless.
- Other Thoughts: I feel like I wasted my money on this thing. Sure the sound is great but for almost $200? I'm sure there will be some "audio" guy that has something to say to that but I couldn't care less. Keep on wasting your money on stuff you don't need. I'll never buy this or any sound card priced this high ever again.
- Pros: Awesome audio quality
Drivers are nice I can hear the difference between using an equalizer and not using one now. Lots of options
- Cons: Sometimes glitches and produces screeching and random noise in vista 64 bit... has not happened since i reinstalled windows
No microphone support (I was well aware of this when I bought it) Did not easily fit into my pci slot
- Other Thoughts: The drivers do not conflict with my onboard sound so i can use my onboard mic and the prelude for sound if need be
Great buy
- Pros: Huge difference from on board sound. Worked with Vista 32 and on Vista 64 that I upgraded to. Like so many others have said, i'll never settle for onboard sound again.
- Cons: The green blinking light is always on. Always blinking? What's up with that? A bit expensive, but it's an investment and well worth it. It's one of those things u buy once in a verry long tim! Not like a CPU or GPU where they are outdated every few months.
- Other Thoughts: You will get the best experience out of these if you have a decent to good speaker system.
