Powered by the VIA High Quality ICE 1723 audio processor, the Auzen X-Studio 5.1 PCI Sound Card provides 24-bit/96kHz High Quality Digital Audio, includes Auzentech´s signature swappable OPAMP for the front-left and front-right channels, internal digital output two-pin connector, a Microphone Pre-Amplifier, and support for the QSound Labs 3D Surround Engine.

There's a line-in jack for recording from music equipment, CD players and digital audio players directly to your PC. An external mic input lets you connect a microphone for recording sound or for video conferencing, gaming or Internet phone calls or chat.

Installation is simple and straightforward. Just seat the card in a vacant PCI card slot in your desktop and install the drivers from the included disk and you're ready to connect your speakers and enjoy high-quality audio. N/A 12/5/2009 9:42:08 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 1/5	Rating: 5/5Trouble at first Pros: Cheap, Works, 5.1 DTS Cons: Not really a con but when I first set this card up I was having trouble getting the optical out to send DTS 5.1 to my receiver. For some reason I was only getting stereo to my receiver through the optical. After playing around with my ffdshow audio decoder settings I finally got DTS to work. It took me quite some time to pinpoint what was wrong. Not the card but software configurations. I still can't seem to set-up the surround sound natively in the software provided though. It has a test for all the speakers but only the right and left front channels seem to work in this test. Might be a while before or if I figure this one out. Other Thoughts: If you want optical connection with to a receiver than this will get it done. It is way cheaper than buying cables to run all of my separate channels of surround from my onboard sound card. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? Pros: The soundcard installs and works with Vista without a hitch and it fits even though my big graphics card takes up the PCI-E and part of another PCI slot. Sounds good through the Toslink cable. Cons: My home audio receiver doesn't click over to 5.1 surround when you change the card to that setting. I know its not my home stereo because it clicks over to full surround just fine when I test it through Vista's control panel. The graphic interface of the program is rough, but thats just appearance. It may be something I'm not aware of, but with the high sample rate is set, itunes doesn't work. Other Thoughts: Overall it does its job, but am disappointed that when watching movies on my PC i don't get true 5.1 surround. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you?
