2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed!

Pros: No bloated software. Sounds good only if you get the settings just right, and I can't tell you what a pain that was!

Cons: Nothing really that good. :-( I think giving it 2 stars is being very generous! I don't know what others see in this card. I have a seriously kickin system I built from scratch, yet this card sounds like garbage! Sure, it has many features, but it's still nothing to boast about. The presets are the worst I've ever heard!!! My advice, don't waste your money!

5 out of 5 eggsNice Quality. Lots of tuning options

Pros: I had this for 2 years. Its a great sound card. I feel its more for people who want to do sound editing and what not.
Not very ideal for gaming. There are many options which you can mess with.

Cons: My MSI z68 motherboard has better on board sounds.

Other Thoughts: Great for sounds editing if you are into it. But nowadays motherboards come equipped with awesome sound chipsets. With many connections such as digital outputs for fiber optics.

5 out of 5 eggsBest way to escape Creative

Pros: Awesome card, able to use with a 7.2 receiver for awesome home theater sound. Fills the gap left by the horrible decline of Creative and disappearance of Turtle Beach.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: You must switch to HT Omega!!!

5 out of 5 eggsPremium audio, reasonable price

Pros: Great sound. Ports for just about everything. The Claro control panel is much more intuitive than the one supplied by Microsoft (which remains available). Many excellent presets for the equalizer. You'll probably find one to your liking and not have to create your own.

Cons: The driver CD included in the package is useless under Windows 7 64-bit. The installer seems to go into a loop at about halfway and never completes. No error message, no nothing. You have to reboot to get rid of the installer. I downloaded the latest install package from their website and it worked without a hitch, so I didn't knock any points off.

Other Thoughts: This replaced my Creative Audigy 2 EX, which I loved. Creative decided not to support that card and it's external control box on Win 7 beyond a simple audio driver. The Audigy was very expensive when I bought it and I will never buy another Creative product.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best

Pros: I'm not going to tell you that I'm a pro & I know everything. I'm a money spender just like you. It doesn't matter if you're a audiophile or a general user. However; I will tell you that if you're going to buy omega's products you WILL NEVER, EVER go back to "soundblaster". I emailed tech support for A NON RELATED PROBLEM (Thanks Jason!) and I received a response within 3 days. Their drivers are NON BLOATED!! When you get your card go directly to their site & DL the updated drivers. There is NO bullcrap! YOU GET THE DRIVERS & nothing more!. Remember, You get what you pay for. I'm like you, I want to go cheap and save money but...get this card. You won't regret it

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: • Intel Core i7 950 (OC'd at 4.22Ghz)

5 out of 5 eggsPretty

Pros: Sound not much better than my motherboard. But I had a high end motherboard. Although its supposed to have the same realtec garbage inside. Anywho, sound is decent, I haven't heard better sounding PC, but I haven't heard that many to start with.

Cons: expensive.

Other Thoughts: Looks gorgeous, and thats important for me. My PC is as pretty as a girl when u open it. All components are black or metal and cable management is perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: Amazing sound, cured my on board audio "snap crackle pop" issues on my ASRock 990FX Extreme3 board.
True Dolby Digital output to my home stereo, makes my music sound new. I am hearing sound in these songs I've been listening to for years for the first time, AMAZING

Cons: Have to download drivers for Win7, not really a con who uses those outdated installer disks anyways!?

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to fix my on board audio issues and got way more than I bargained for. I've had my Harmon Kardon with 7.1 set up for a few years and have been using the S/PDIF output from on board as well as Creative Cards for a while. This card and software make all those cards sound like garbage. My digital output indicators for speakers are actually active now ans I can hear the difference.
Movies sound way better. IF YOU HAVE A HOME MEDIA PC THIS IS THE AUDIO CARD FOR YOU

I bought this card and not the "Plus" version because it was not exactly clear to me what the extra $20 gets you other than a few different chips that do the same things as this one, all software and features appeared to be the same, at any rate I do not feel like "I should have got the other one".

5 out of 5 eggsDelicious Ear Nectar

Pros: I have a mobo with terrible onboard sound, that made this wonderful static when nothing was playing through the headphones. Mildly humorous how it buzzed to the clock frequency of my CPU. After installing the card and drivers, I immediately put my cans on and started playing with all of the settings. The Dolby audio modes are very easy to interchange, the setup for surround sound speaker levels/positions also very easy. Overall, I was blown away by the night and day difference in quality after listening to a few FLAC files (and their lossy counterparts.)

Overall build of the card screams quality. Its slim profile is very nice, leaving plenty of room for other cards.

Cons: I now feel the need to upgrade my music library to lossless FLAC/WAV files.

Other Thoughts: Spinach helps maintain a healthy colon... and now you know, and knowing is half the battle!

5 out of 5 eggsBest Sound Yet!

Pros: Best sound card for music and even better sound for gaming. Replaced an XFi PCIE card and will not buy a Creative for myself again. I have a set of the TB 5.1 gaming headset with the splitter for my 5.1 digital speakers. Easy driver setup for Win 7 Ult 32bit.

Cons: Size. I use a Antec 1200 case and have 2 5830's and this card almost covers the intake for 1 of the video cards. ASUS M4 EVO board.

Other Thoughts: Slight mod to video fan and heatsink and the card runs cool.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat and Crushes Creative

Pros: Amazing sound Quality (the best sound card I have used) Crushes and Creative Card on the market, and NO staticy sound in win 7 64 bit w/ 4gb or more mem !!

Cons: Minor but the presets such as "rock" "dance" "rap" "soft rock" "jazz" "classic" all Sound Horrible, But no big deal just fine tune / set the equalizers yourself to make up the Perfect sound.

Other Thoughts: If you want a card that will give you perfect reliable sound in windows 7 64 bit with however much memory you have installed , then this is the perfect card.
The Bass is amazing , and it is crystal Clear.
HT Omega got it right , and I am very happy to have found out about this company, and made creative's inferior sound cards w/ lack of support a thing of the past !
Buy this Sound Card !~
