5 out of 5 eggsFast, easy, beautiful results

Pros: Very easy to use.
Wide Variety of features.
Good ergonomics.
16MP.
Very good image handling software included.
Fast shipping and secure packaging by newegg.

Cons: Hmmm... Can't think of any

Other Thoughts: New camera technology is staggering. I started taking photos "pre-Brownie", and remember it was too expensive to develop 20 pictures back in the day (15 of which would be garbage). Now, here's a little/lot of camera that will do mind bending stuff, and hold well over 4,000 16MP photos (jpeg) on a 32 GB card.

5 out of 5 eggsThanks, Newegg for a sweet deal!

Pros: This camera will power up, take a photo, and power down in just over 3 seconds. It can take photos while it records 1080p video. A 24X zoom is amazing in a camera this size. The super macro mode is addictive. The display is easy to see, even in daylight. The flash is out of the way, but extends nicely when needed.

Cons: The door for the HDMI connector is flimsy plastic and does not seem like it will hold up as long as the rest of the camera. The power button is almost between the Mode knob and the shutter button where it is harder to press with a gloved finger. When recording video, the microphone picks up the sound of the autofocus and zoom motors. The full 24X zoom requires a tripod or rock-solid rest to provide a sharp image. The white lettering on the chrome Mode knob is hard to read in some lighting conditions.

Other Thoughts: My first decent camera was an Olympus OM-1, so I knew Olympus meant a quality product. The battery life seems good, but I ordered an extra for extended use. This camera makes me want to use it. I'll probably not use the 3D function or the Magic effects, and only rarely the Panorama mode; however, it's nice that those features are there, just in case. A waterproof version would be fantastic!

5 out of 5 eggswonderful point and shoot

Pros: a great point and shoot. perfect for the person that does not want to mess with a lot of controls. nice optical zoom. I reallly like that you can start taking video on the fly (no turning knobs...going thru menus etc.)

Cons: will need to buy aftermarket wall charger (also maybe some spare non OEM batteries if you wish to not charge in the camera.)

Other Thoughts: another reviewer said you have to charge with your computer. may not have gotten to step 3 when did the review. You can charge with your computer or plug the USB cable into the included wall plug. I purchased a couple of cheapo aftermarket batteries for just a few dollars. could get a wall charger for cheap too if you desire.
I purchased this camera from newegg for 200 including shipping and a free 32gb high speed card (for 1080p) I just don't see another camera out there with these features (and a "pocket camera") at this price. There are (many) times you just want to take a pocket point and shoot. Saying a point and shoot lacks manual controls is much like saying your cheese pizza lacks toppings. OK, just being silly. But you get my drift.I always purchase what I need/want. (as budget allows) I guess most of us do. At 3 or 4 hundred dollars it is a nice camera. At 200 it really is a gem. (once again, the fact that is fits in your jeans, cargo pants, small purse etc. is of note!)

4 out of 5 eggsUnbelievable Shipping...NewEgg is the best!

Pros: Compact, great zoom coverage, including the nice wide low end, nice infrared focus assist for low light, fair amount of manual adjustments, good scene selections, pano feature, takes good movies, slips in my back pocket yet able to cover most of my needs.

Cons: Would like to have seen even more manual options. Must charge through the camera, or buy an additional battery with separate charger. When slipping in your back pocket, you must reset the control dial and the markings are hard to read in bright light....the dial moves too easily.

Other Thoughts: Great value. I have an Olympus E-5 that I used for all my construction shots, where I just didn't need that high of quality camera. I wanted a "truck" camera and this works perfectly, saving my E-5 for more important shots. This is a perfect second, light, compact, all-around camera that is with me at all times.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome product, fast shipping!

Pros: fast shipping, great camera, 1080p video, good price

Cons: None...yet

Other Thoughts: First Newegg purchase. The camera was new in box, and just as described. I love the camera and am very happy with my first purchase through Newegg, as well as my first Olympus camera (I'm usually a Canon girl). The reviews on the camera varies, but I decided to take a risk and find out on my own. Thankfully, I am no professional photographer, so my camera meets my basic needs and some. Thank you!

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a great little camera

Pros: - Takes great pictures for the amateur that wants a balance of control and convenience.

- One of the most intuitive and and efficient button and OSD layouts I have ever used. The manual was only required to read up on some of the features and to ID a couple icons I couldn't easily deduce.

- Using it's different shutter modes, you can take some amazing action sequences. It's like a photographic machine gun. PEW PEW PEW!

- The zoom is fierce. Nuff said.

- Huge display screen.

- Loaded with great little features that make the camera fun and more useful.

Cons: - The zoom lever is a little difficult to master without futzing with it. This is the one control I have any issue with at all.

- The only thing that could really make this camera better, IMO, would be wifi transfer support. But at the current price, I would expect to pay more if it were there.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is probably my favorite camera I have ever purchased. I bought it on a whim from the Shellshocker deal for $200 with a 16GB micro SD. I had intended it to be just a kick around so I didn't have to pack a DSLR everywhere just to take pics.

Surprisingly, other than specialized shots, this is now going to replace my Canon Rebel XT.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Camera

Pros: Great pics, fast shutter time, awesome zoom.

Cons: Clutters up my computer area since it needs to be plugged in to the computer to charge.

Other Thoughts: My son bought this with his own $$ instead of an iPod Touch (good for him I say). The only regret I have is that my camera now pales in comparison! He has taken some amazing photographs with this camera. It is simply awesome. He has had zero complaints about it, and really did his homework before laying down his hard-earned money for this camera.
