Pros: Great features, fast lens, feels well made. Almost no shutter lag! So far very satisfied with outdoor shots and macro capabilities. Purchased to have a smaller camera, easy to travel with for camping, hiking and fishing. Should do the job perfectly

Cons: Sure it's not DSLR quality but it's not a DSLR.

Other Thoughts: Newegg service fast as always. Camera arrived day after I placed my order. Charged battery and went to shoot but found the camera would zoom in but not out. Doesn't work when shooting or viewing. Have to send it back for a replacement. Hope this is not a sign of overall quality for Oly TG1. I really do like it.

Pros: Rugged, Lens is best in class. Have already beat this thing up just for the hell of it, decent low light pictures. Survived 107f plus water.

Cons: needs more control, but what point in shoot doesn't

Other Thoughts: bought this to carry every where, live in the interior of alaska hunt, fish, camp, in all weather conditions including -20f and colder weather. Don't know if it will survive the extreme cold yet but I will find out and let folks know

Pros: Powers up and can take a photo in 1 second!
Takes incredible macros and close ups.
Super high speed shutter and up to 60fps stills.
Sturdy construction, hefty feel.
Takes clear underwater photos.
Can be taken under water and in the rain.
Easy menu navigation.
Super easy video button.
Beautiful clear preview screen visible in bright sunlight.

Cons: High price.
Poor distance photos. Look like watercolors, no sharp detail.
Slow switching between modes.
Super high speed shutter drops down to 3mp.
No lens cover, hard to grab without sticking a finger on the lens.
In different modes super zoom and various other things are disabled, can't figure out sometimes which settings cripple which features.
Only a 4x zoom. Hardly noticeable.
Video has a fishbowl effect if you move the camera around and the focus will hunt in video mode.

Other Thoughts: I really want to love this camera, but can only like it. I love taking macros so it is a real winner. I wanted something I gould carry in the saddle for quick photos and nothing is faster, but the fine detail is just lacking. I have tried many different modes and custom settings and it just doesn't have the clarity of my Canon HF-S10 which is only 8mp.
