Waterproof feature handy when traveling. Cons: buttons are a little strange, but to be expected due to waterproofing. 5x optical is great, but 10x would be so much better! camera is slow to take a picture, quality is about the same as an iPhone. Other Thoughts: great camcorder for those who don't want to deal with DV tape or a more expensive hard drive based HD unit. for getting that special family is great, because it turns on quickly.
