Pros: Just like all sub $200 cameras, you get what you pay for.
If you are somehow expecting to get Nikon D3s Full frame quality in dark rooms, I don't know what to tell ya. Better save up for that $5,000 camera.
If you come in with realistic expectations, and know that all point and shoots are limited by low light (as with all crud tiny sensor cameras, I'm looking at you mt olympus) if you're in a situation where the camera has to automatically use the flash, your pictures are going to be bad no matter what you do. Either you can shoot outside, or in a brighter room.
Cheap/ Works well for what it claims to be/ widdddde zoom compared to many other compacts in this price range.
Cons: Personally I think this screen is too big, I used to shoot with the D70 years ago, and in my opinion anything more than 2.5 inches is just a waste of space. And 2 inches is usually perfect as far as reviewing images goes.
Other Thoughts: Has internal memory, (a tiny bit for about 30-40 shots if you either forgot your card at home, or didn't purchase one when you recieve the camera) and video out, which is golden for impromptu picture sharing. (as long as you have a compatible vcr of course)
Overall, its a good deal. As with all technology purchases, you should do well to learn as much as you can about the technology before you buy it, but I think for most of us on newegg, that goes unsaid ;).
If you want magic shots that arent possible in low light- go for a D3s, if you want random party pics, pictures of your family, and just otherwise daily unplanned photos, go with this, just don't expect something they're not claiming it can do.
