5 out of 5 eggsDon't let the bad reviews fool you!!

Pros: There's so many settings to choose from to get the correct results you want. This camera takes amazing photos and video and has very good sound results. My wife said she felt like she was in the video while she watched it because it was so crisp and clear.

Cons: The lens is slow compared to alot of more expensive cameras but in my opinion, the price you pay for this camera you get very good results. If you need the best of the best then go spend more money on a higher end camera. It's that simple.

Other Thoughts: The bad reviews that are being left about this camera is from users that don't know how to choose the correct settings. I went through this when I first got mine and there is a learning curve that's not that hard to figure out. As soon as my son saw my camera he went and purchased one for himself. Under the correct settings for the conditions you are taking the pictures, you will get phenomenal results. I didn't buy from the egg, I had purchased from a local brick and mortar retailer...

4 out of 5 eggsNot to Shabby

Pros: The zoom on it is great. This camera really does push itself with all the features that are offered in it. The colors you get are very lively as well due to the lens given to this camera. The battery options do tend to help with power consumption as well. This is not a SLR camera, nor a point & shoot camera. It finds its home in the middle ground. The video is a nice step up being 720, I know allot of cameras also offer 1080 but for the price this camera is great. The audio is also clean & sounds very clear.

Cons: It doesn't allow for much manual control of any functions. Nor does it allow you to mount a flash box on it. The battery door is rather frail so use caution when changing the batteries or getting the flash drive out. Also due to the lack of manual control you will often find (even in good lighting) some blur effect.

Other Thoughts: Over all this camera is wonderful. It does have many preset options for lighting conditions. Nikon offers many after market accessories as well. Such as HDMI Cable, Charging Cables, and firmware options as well. I have yet to use any of these other Firmware updates so maybe with those I'll have more manual setting options. Other then that I feel that this camera does well.

1 out of 5 eggsImage Stabilization: FAIL

Pros: Uses AA batteries and SD memory. HD Video recording. HDMI port.

Cons: The Image Stabilization, or perhaps better put the lack of Image Stabilization makes this camera unusable. In full daylight one out of every 4 pictures taken without zoom is usable.

2 out of 5 eggsNikon Failed

Pros: The camera has a nice slr style that makes it look alot better than your normal point n shoots. Felt nice and comfortable to hold. Comes with good batteries that lasted along time and still some.

Cons: Let me just say that this is my second L110 in the past 3 weeks. By no means is the a professional camera and shouldn't be compared to a professional dslr. However, this camera takes poor quality photos and videos. The zoom feature kept giving my blurry photos unless I was at close up then it came out fine. There must be great lighting at all times or the video and photos come out dark. You can't adjust the shutter speeds. The only settings you can adjust is the iso and macro on or off. Too much iso and the photos come out very grainy. I tried shooting an airshow and it was imposible. The camera takes to long to auto focus and bout time it does take the shot the planes are gone or blurred. The same is for the video as well. This was only one reason for returning both cameras. The other is that the camera freezes during photo taking. The only way to get out of the freeze is to remove the batter door and reapply. I had phones the manufacture where they were rude and said its defective.

Other Thoughts: My rating is based on the style. Not the functionality or its features.

2 out of 5 eggsIf it looks too good to be True.......

Pros: -Battery life/options
-Outdoor Shots in daytime
-Price during sale
-'was'nt disappointed by Newegg,(purchased somewere else)

Cons: -Pic. Quality , esp. indoors in any mode
-No view finder
-cannot see screen outdoors on sunny days.

Other Thoughts: I really wanted the feel of an old school SLR instead of these credit card size cameras.( dates me , huh?)
The end result was sub standard Guts in a SLR body.

4 out of 5 eggsImproved over prior model

Pros: This camera feels great to hold. Nikon put some thought into this design. I like the placement of the picture/ video mode buttons. So far the best modes are dusk/dawn and food. Color is fantastic in food mode. Impressed with length of 4 AA battery power time for picture taking. ( with out flash use )

Cons: Sports mode is a bit disappointing, Like other users have commented would have liked a bit more manual control over settings. Limited accessories. Macro close shots this camera is not. .

Other Thoughts: It is geared as a great portrait / family gathering type camera.
Do not disappoint yourself get the proper memory card.
HINT HINT Newegg sells them
HD videos turn out great with the dual mics on the top of the camera.
